How to earn money on new Patches - Update Gambling

Gambling on Dev Update is risky but one of the best things you can do to gain money.

Yesterday i got around 800 BTC profit in minutes. TBH even for me that panic buying by new players was completely not foreseeable. Especially with the only 2 Oil per region instead of 10. So i bought a lot for 0,2 the moment the News dropped and a few minutes later sold it for 0.29 or even 0.299. Proof below :)

How to avoid? Stack the stuff while they are cheap for nearly nothing.

Disclaimer: Im not a eco player because its boring. So i do it for fun with low quantities.

Step 1: Inform yourself

Check the dev server or let others check it for you.

With access to dev server everyone has the infos. In the past only the council had these infos to share it with their buddies. Now everyone can check them.

Step 2: Do your math

With scaling costs for country buildings Big countrys need tons of Concrete with the release of country buildings for national buildings.

With domains needing 9.595 Concrete to max out with 3 good buildings and 1 cheaper one this update will hit hard too.

Sure nobody will buy max level instantly. But uprade a few buildings to level 3? 2k Conc * 2k players = 4.000.000 Conrete

There is a good chance these two things will hit live server the same day.

Step 3: Dont go all in, things may change

Do not gamble all your stuff if you cant afford it. Buy small amounts otherwise it will be hard to sell everything at peak and your sell order will crash the price. Or Vatou changes things on dev again.

For example i bought 2k concrete after the Movement release and the Crash yesterday for around 1.9. Up to 3 would be over 2k profit. Thats doable with next update.

Be patient. Update will come. Maybe not tomorrow maybe not next week. But it will.

I suggest gambling on dev updates with a maximum of 10% of your Wealth.

For the sake of transparency, here is my modest concrete inventory. Will hold till update for the science.

Step 4: The Dev is your friend. Subscribe and be active

Leave him a subscribe! Because he always forget to pin his posts the first hour.

Also he will release it when he feels like it. There is no info or hint before. This is good for active european players because every time you have skyrocketing prices and a crash afterwards.

Profit!. Very proud on that nearly perfect sale at 0.299.

What we cant change is bad updates thrown at our faces without any testing or stress test. What we can do is earning money on the Update communication.
