As always, the technical/serious stuff comes first.
War Era Intel has received a few small but really important updates:
The Build Tool now looks at the gear trading market to suggest stats and prices that maximize item value. More importantly, it also uses data from last week's battles to estimate your battle and round rankings loot rewards.
The Military Intel section now features more parameters to estimate an MU/Country's damage potential: no gear, everyone using purple sets, all sober (no buff or debuff), burst mode, etc. You can also now compare two MUs or Countries side by side with the new compare feature.
There haven't been any big changes to the Economy Intel section, but feel free to suggest improvements or new features in the comments.
Earlier this week we fought our first battle in https://app.warera.io/battle/69d665c89465ef41c96d4467 . After 15 https://app.warera.io/mu/68e6858b97ef61438565d180s from https://app.warera.io/country/6873d0ea1758b40e712b5f7c did almost as much damage as 500 Egyptians, the government of Egypt admitted we weren't anyone's proxy and started taking us seriously. Both parties now being reasonable agreed to be friends who respect each other. After some negotiation, the following treaty was signed:
Starting this Monday (13th of April) Egypt transfers $1500 to Chad no later than 12 hours after every week reset.
Chad and Egypt remain at war during the period of time required for Chad to revolt in the regions of: Borkou, Chari and Salamat, Eastern and Western Chad. Egypt agrees to not set any national orders on these revolts. (We want to farm with 120% damage bonus).
Chad accepts Egypt's peace offer law after all of the regions mentioned in the previous point are under Chad control.
Egypt maintains control of Tibesti and Ennedi.
Egypt maintains control of Mayo-Kébbi and Logone until month change.
This agreement auto-renews unless notice is given at least 24 hours before week reset.
As long as this treaty is respected by both parties, neither Chad nor Egypt will open any non-agreed battles against one another. Egypt also agrees not to support any third parties attacking Chad regions.
Once the SR changes at the beginning of the next month, Chad and Egypt will renegotiate all terms of this treaty respecting a 24 hour window during which point 7 will remain valid until the 2nd of May.

Now for the drama. After a week in the Vatican and that weird move leasing it to Italy for $600 a week, former Pope https://app.warera.io/user/697b1c3375e83770b288d1db has resigned and called for elections. He said he lost motivation and doesn't have time to play the role anymore. It's a shame to see him go.
The elections are happening now and my sources say there are three camps:
The Italians. Foreign agents who wish to make the Vatican a proxy for Italy, whether they will occupy the territory or not remains to be seen.
The Germans. Enemies of the former who wish to make the Vatican an offensive proxy to wage war from within against the Italians, who are now advancing towards their capital.
The Faithful. Role-players who wish to keep playing in an independent Vatican, free from foreign influence.

Did you know you make an average of $0.17 per k in battle loot? That is exactly the same as the old system. Before you say the old system was better because everyone got rewards, remember that back then only the top 30% of each side got anything. In the new system, anywhere from 20% to 50% of fighters get rewards.
