There are many ways to make money in WarEra, but most require market knowledge, calculations, investment in companies, or a decent amount of starting capital. The new Crate update, however, gives everyone especially newbies a simple way to make money with very little investment.
Crates spawn one at a time / every hour (25% chance + your luck so you get approx. one every 2 hours), so wait until all 5 crates have spawned before starting your collection trip. Don't waste your time waiting for your stamina to refill completely. Your stamina regenerates by 10 per hour, giving you 50+ stamina, which is enough for 5 region jumps for free.
For the remaining travel, simply buy Oil from the market. A region jump costs 2 Oil, and if Oil is around 0.20 (current market price), each jump costs about 0.40.
Crates can be anywhere from roughly 3 to 19 regions away, so lets assume the average distance between crates is 11 regions.
With five crates, that's approximately 55 region jumps. Your 50 stamina covers 5 of those jumps, leaving about 50 jumps to pay for with Oil.
That's 100 Oil × 0.20 = 20 in travel costs.
(This is an estimate. Your actual cost will depend on where the crates spawn relative to your location and how much stamina you have accomulated. If several crates are close together, your real cost can be considerably lower.)
DO NOT OPEN THE CRATES.
Sell them to players who enjoy opening crates in bulk. The current market price is around 6.62 per crate, five crates give you 5 × 6.62 = 33.10.
Our estimated cost is around 20, while the crates sell for 33.10, giving approximately 13.10 profit from one five-crate trip. And this can be even better if your crates spawn closer together or you get Oil cheaper.
Once you've collected all five, simply press Go to Home and return home for free. No Oil required for the return trip.
wait for 5 crates to spawn → collect all using stamina and oil → sell crates → Make Money and Go to Home for free.
It's not literally free, because you spend some Oil, but compared with most money-making methods, the investment is tiny.
