How to spot ICPD 101

We’ve recently seen a sudden surge of new accounts appearing in contested countries. Coincidence? That’s hard to believe.

Take a look at the first example. This is one of those freshly created accounts. Notice the referrer and more importantly, notice how the profile picture is directly related to that referrer. Maybe it’s nothing. Maybe it’s just a random coincidence. After all, we’re talking about Venezuela… surely they wouldn’t do anything questionable, right?

Now move on to the next cases. the rest of the images show more of these new accounts. Same pattern, same timing, same context. At some point, it stops looking random, because it isnt.

And it doesn’t stop there.

We’re also seeing a noticeable wave of new accounts appearing in Belarus. What stands out isn’t just the timing it’s the pattern. A large portion of these accounts are German-speaking players, all showing up in the same country, at roughly the same time, and under very similar circumstances.

(Belarus went from being under 5 in active pop, to being 33, in less than 24 hours.)

I know, I know, stop it with the conspiracy theory Aser, where is the real evidence?

Oh and speaking of excelsior97, You take an interest in catching those slave wage accounts (btw, 0.09 is slave wage, 0.12 isnt), yet somehow, you missed the most obvious example in the entire game, I'm sure its not related at all to the fact that its Venezuela doing it.
