🛑 HUGE BREAKTHROUGH IN DAMAGE/COST OPTIMIZATION: Stop Wasting Your Cash 🛑

After releasing the WarEra Build Tool, I thought my job was done. I gave you the math. I gave you the price points. I thought, surely, people will stop flushing money down the toilet for suboptimal setups.

I was wrong.

You guys are still finding ways to bankrupt yourselves, mostly because you're still chasing general gear rolls instead of what actually works for your specific setup. So I went back to the code, locked myself in a room, and upgraded the optimizer before you all go broke.

🧠 The "Best Value" Trap

Here is the problem: most players look at a weapon, divide the total stat number by its price, pick the highest ratio and think "this is peak efficiency."

It might net you more raw damage on paper, but it can cost you a fortune in actual efficiency. If you are already getting specific bonuses from your skills, your armor, and your daily pill addiction, blindly buying the highest stat stick isn't always the smartest move. Some stats increasing can decrease your efficiency without even getting into the price you pay for them specifically (looking at you Armor and Dodge).

The tool now handles this balance automatically so you don't have to guess. Here is the breakdown of what changed in the new version.

Better gear recommendations
Gear tooltips now show a build-aware Optimal roll — the exact stat roll that gives the most damage per $ for your build, instead of the roll that gives most stats per $. Weapons sweep a full ATK/Crit grid since the best split depends on the crit you already get from skills, pills and other gear. The separate Best Value row still shows the previously mentioned most stats per $, which will net you more damage but can cost you a lot in efficiency.

Higher-quality builds
After the main search, every build now goes through a polish pass that nudges it to a guaranteed local optimum — so you get strictly more damage and/or lower cost for the same result card. Optimizer defaults were also re-tuned for better fronts. Run time should still be similar to what it used to be.

Other

  • New loading animation.

  • Cleaner results UI, build parameters form now collapses.

  • New "How it works" FAQ explaining the build tool.

  • Pill toggle is on by default.

  • Users trying to optimize for damage with pill off get warned.

💊 Face The Math

The biggest quality of life change here is that I finally turned the pill toggle on by default. If you try to turn it off and optimize for maximum damage anyway, the tool is going to give you a warning. We need to stop pretending pills don't change the equation. Accept the math, plan your 10-hour holds, and stop leaving damage on the table.

TLDR; The UI is cleaner now, the form collapses out of your way when you get your results, and the backend code is doing a lot more heavy lifting to save you money.
