Inspired by eSerbia: Commonwealth white paper

CaioJuly 21, 2026news

Summary

The Commonwealth ("CMB") is a roleplay oriented group. In this article we show our initial delivery for the community, it's a short and technical article as in a white paper.

Together, under the coded laws of WarEra, the Commonwealth and its players meant to write a collective story. A story not about a world of pure imagination, but about how we wish that in-game results will be powered by roleplay.

Also, as an introduction, the project is about community. If moderators and game administrators are the game masters for the War Era, our technical roleplay admins are the game masters of the roleplay. Under FBI badges, their duty is clear: there is no wrong play, only failed ones. And there is no failure while the roleplay is going. The group will make bad moves, the group will do good moves, don't matter: the show must keep running without god-like interference, new leaders must rise.

CORE CONCEPT

Since the group come from another game with different states mechanics, we adapted our concept of being a "state institution" to be a "nation institution". In WarEra we have fixed national states, we are like a stateless community or a people. And that's all.

We started seeking a physical home, where we ended up being established in current East Timor.

We don't want the nuance of being "East Timor" natives. We don't expect to end in this island. But after internal communities fights, we went for a safer home.

We come from another world, another empire and with others costumes. We want the nuance that we are citizens of The Commonwealth, since this avoid gameplay limits and assert the roleplay sovereignty and its own story.

CONSTITUTION OF THE COMMONWEALTH

Our "carta magna" asserts the roleplay rules, since we mean to make a community that can molds itself, everyone need a common playground.

The FBI duty is to maintain technical infrastructure and the roleplay environment.

Our players duty is to play and develop a self-made nation.

Summary of the Constitution

It's a metagame constitution and the following summary is generated by AI, (since the article is focus is explain our technical infraestructure and not marketing the roleplay):

The CMB Carta Magna outlines an metagame framework focused on action and narrative over bureaucracy. Here are its core pillars:

  1. Absolute Leadership: The Caesar acts as the supreme ruler, holding the power to execute actions instantly to keep the narrative moving decisively.

  2. Shared Governance: Strategic decisions, laws, and conflict resolutions are distributed through an elected aristocracy parliament and a judicial court.

  3. Autonomous Divisions: The community is organized into self-governing internal groups, as a core to remember Game of Thrones.

  4. Perpetual Honor: We are mean to honor and save the progress that our players makes. Medals/ranks should be earned than granted by favoritism, and once granted, become an untouchable legacy.

  5. The Golden Rule: In-character conflicts stay in the game. Rules exist strictly to serve the fun and the collective story while producing in-game results; if bureaucracy ever stalls the action, pragmatism prevails.

We also mention the Republic of Serbia constitution, elaborated by Fila, where we based our carta magna design, which helped us to make it more clear.

PROJECT DELIVERABLES

"What we did?".

In the past months we developed a roleplay site prototype where roleplay actions can be performed. We are also running a automation where the roleplay logs pass through Artificial Intelligence to make daily news on Army, Caesar, Parliament and the Court. Some roleplay actions generates institutional documents, as the Caesar decrees.

All our roleplay design is being built to encourage in-game results and community self-management. For example, WarEra already has military ranks. Then we introduced (through parliament) a concept to encourage player coordination in-game.

Our military rank is based on player level of coordination. It means it represents his "military corp".

But... This isn't a technical rule, it's a type of roleplay agreement. This is why and how the community can mold itself (Of course, who maintain the technical infrastructure may make crazy changes invalid, because we aren't slaves 🧐🤣).

Conclusions

We will not deliver a full backlog here, this is a form to present us for the game community.

We will publish a similar but thematic article for the Brazilian community.

The currently admin team (FBI) is composed by: Theking, Legatus_Ohio and Caio.

Current development (and challenge) is going from "group of friends" to definitely a "institution".

Best regards,

CMB community.

ENJOY THE METAGAME!
