What role does South Africa want to play in Africa?

We used to be called the protectors of Africa. I think these days it's a bit simpler. For me, I like to talk to other African countries I'm not very familiar with to improve relations, as well as try to keep the peace between those that butt heads. We can't have war between the few that remain, even if its neutrality.

What is your opinion on foreign countries competing for influence and resources in Africa?

Personally, I am against foreign influence in Africa. Africa has many small countries, so it becomes almost impossible to control; at best, one could hope for the neutral bloc that has formed around Central Africa, where most of them are foreign, but they pose no hostile threat and are willing to work together.

What can South Africa do to help other African countries?

We have always tried to push for African strength, independence, and unity. This is why we believe in having as few proxies as possible: go to a struggling African country, try to support them, and when the time is right, return to South Africa.

Although this was before my time, I believe South Africa used to help other African countries with recruitment, but recruitment is hard work and takes a lot of time, so it's not something we have done in a while.

I believe some of the African country players are still young and need help learning. The old African Union was a good attempt as well, unfortunately it never came together due to clashing personalities, or so I was told.

What is stopping Africa from becoming a global superpower?

Portugal's delusions that Africa is their country - that being said, being a "super power" isn't as great as every makes out to be...

If you could change one thing about Africa today, what would it be?

Fill each African country with real Africans, but due to IRL infrastructure limitations, I would just go with more unity among those that are there, from North to South.
