Introducing Influence Intelligence — Diplomagic update!

KhorneMay 29, 2026news

Ever wondered which countries are actually run by their citizens, and which ones are quietly governed by foreigners? We just shipped a tool that answers exactly that.

https://influence.diplomagic.eu — no login, no signup, just open it.

How it works

Every country is scored on two independent axes:

  • Playerbase Origin â€” where do the country's citizens originally come from? We sample real players, check their native languages and MU history, and flag the dominant foreign source if there is one.

  • Government Capture â€” same analysis applied only to the people in power. A country can have a clean playerbase but a captured government, and the algorithm tells you which is which.

Each score gets a traffic light:

  • 🟢 Clean â€” community is who you'd expect

  • 🟡 Influenced â€” meaningful foreign presence

  • 🔴 Captured â€” foreign control is dominant

For every flag you see the Top-3 master states with concrete numbers ("X out of Y citizens, Z%"), so nothing is a black box.

Why this matters

Diplomacy in WarEra runs on assumptions about who actually controls a country. This makes those assumptions checkable.

Bonus features

  • Discord command available in Battle-Ready-Bot /influence  gives you the full breakdown right in chat

  • /influence_vote lets the community weigh in when the algorithm sees something the meta knows better, also available at the website

  • Results are cached and persisted, so the data is there the moment you open the page

What's New on Diplomagic

Three sizeable changes have landed on diplomagic.eu over the past weeks. Together they push the platform from a single-purpose alliance tracker toward a full-spectrum diplomatic situational-awareness tool for WarEra.

World Map

The new world map gives you a geographical view of every nation and its current diplomatic posture. Hover any country to see alliances, treaties, and recent diplomatic activity at a glance. It is meant as the entry point for users who want the big picture before drilling into a specific bloc.

On the right side you have the same overview informations as before. And you can click the yellow star, to focus on your home country.

Network Overview — Cleanup & Auto-Arrange

The relationship graph has grown so dense that hand-tuning the layout was becoming a job in itself. Two new tools fix that:

  • Cleanup strips stale nodes and edges so you see only what is currently relevant.

  • Auto-Arrange reorganises the graph algorithmically, separating clusters that had collapsed into a single blob and surfacing the structural backbone of each alliance network.

If you ever closed the graph because it looked like a hairball, give it another try.

Influence Overview

This is the most consequential addition. The new influence page (influence.diplomagic.eu, also embedded on battleready.diplomagic.eu) calls out countries whose governments or playerbases show evidence of foreign control — the WarEra equivalent of puppet states in eRepublik.

The detection runs two independent scores per country:

  • Government Capture — who actually controls the President, Vice President, the key ministers, and the congress.

  • Playerbase Origin — the demographic ancestry of the citizens themselves, regardless of who rules them.

Each score returns a top-3 list of suspected master states with a traffic light (green / yellow / red) based on the share of the population signaling that master. Signals are drawn from article language, bio language with langdetect, military-unit origin clustering, and a curated keyword set — calibrated against 38 user-verified anchor cases.

The methodology is documented on the page itself, in a collapsible panel under the header. Built for transparency: every traffic light is auditable.
