They misread the situation.
States pause to catch their breath.
Iraq pauses to prepare its next strike.
While our adversaries celebrated the silence of the fronts, factories continued to operate, plans were reviewed, alliances were strengthened, and preparations were completed for a new phase—broader in scope and more decisive in nature.
The enemies have grown accustomed to seeing Iraq in battle.
What concerns them today is Iraq preparing for battle.
Because they know well that every period of calm has been followed by a greater return, and every phase of reorganization has been followed by operations that shifted the balance of power across the region.
The message we deliver today is not a threat.
It is a reminder.
A reminder that the fronts have not been closed.
That the scores have not been settled.
And that the maps that changed yesterday are capable of changing once again.
As for those who believed Iraq had been exhausted or had retreated, they will soon discover that what they considered an ending was merely a pause between two chapters.
