This is the story of https://app.warera.io/user/69d0cbe55b35561b713b4e06 a player from Sudan.
A player seeking fun in a game called War Era.
Japan is an intercultural community. We don’t talk about politics, religion, or skin color. In Japan, we’re family, and now we’ve lost a member of our family for the most ridiculous reason imaginable: ragebaiting—not just by players, but by mods as well.
Gasim never told us what he believed. He never received a warning for insults or anything like that. He was always friendly and always helpful—even though, sadly, he was only with us for a short time.
He was never the loudest, and he didn't need to be.
He never asked for acceptance, and he didn't need to.
He just wanted to play a game, but in the end, he wasn't allowed to.
So i asked him if i am allowed to share his story for all the silent players that left the game the last weeks.
And these were the words he addressed to us on September 30, 2026.
And I'm sharing his words because they're kinder than mine would be.
good evening guys and sorry was a long day on my side
I respect all of you guys and especially you @GW6667 for welcoming me and making me feel so included
Honestly I’m still surprised by how easy it was especially since there wasn’t really much benefit for you guys from having me
But I never once felt like I was in some strange place or among people I didn’t know, I actually felt like I’d been with you guys since the very beginning of the game
Even if it’s only been a week I’m genuinely really grateful for this week don’t think there’s a better way for me to spend my last time in the game than with you guys
For all of us the game was a way to escape from this world full of idiots like you said especially with the war going on in my country and we found it here we found a diverse community that was special because of that diversity and the respect between everyone, our biggest problem was with Egyptian guys but we managed it
I really wish every community in the game was like the Japan community here, But sadly after what happened recently it has become really hard for us to stay here Some red lines have been crossed and it’s not just about a game anymore it become something much bigger than that This is not just about protesting or expressing anger or rejecting what happened, it is obviously unacceptable but for me and In fact I think it would be wrong for any Muslim to keep playing a game that has people who disrespects what they hold sacred and can't do anything about it
I really hope if there is something to do here and fix the situation but sadly I don’t see that coming from the mods so I think the safest option for me is just to leave
I really hope I get the chance to play with all of you again in a better and safer environment much love yall
getting ready rn for one last ride with you guys
and sorry for the long message
Gasims first message in member chat :(

Let's speak up for Gasim. So that players like him can come back someday.
In the current state ragebaiting ppl with religious topics making fun of sacred places or things they believe in is just a work around to harass people without any penalty.
Mods have failed by escalating it further or looking away.
Gasmin is gone.
And with him something has left Japan and War Era forever.
I hope that someday we'll be able to play together again.
Not a Muslim with a Christian, not a Sudanese with a German, but just two people playing a game together.
GasimRex. We will miss you.
And still hope you will join us for one last battle like promised.
