Juicy Joes tips for employers

Here are Juicy Joes tips for having employees in your companies. Don’t expect to get rich from them, but they can earn you a bit of extra money every day. Lots of players don’t bother with employees because they can be a bit of a pain to manage. It can also be tricky to get it right when you’re a lower level, but these tips should help you succeed.

1. Keep money in your account.

You need to have money in your account to pay your employees. Every time they work, money is deducted from your balance. Depending on how many points they have in Eco, they could take up to about 50 from your account at a time. If you’re going to be offline for a few hours, make sure you have enough money available to pay them—especially before you go to bed, as most players wake up and use all the work energy that’s built up while they were sleeping.

2. Salaries are tricky.

There are plenty of tools that show you how much you should pay for each resource type, but remember that prices fluctuate. What is profitable one day could leave you running at a loss the next. Start with a lower salary offer then once you find an employee, check your profit margin and gradually increase it until both you and the employee are happy. Pay too little and they might leave for a better opportunity. Pay too much and you’ll end up making a loss.

3. Choose stable resources.

Try to put employees into resource companies where prices are relatively stable. Iron, limestone, concrete, and steel are usually fairly stable, so you don’t need to worry as much about price fluctuations affecting profitability.

4. Don’t be afraid to move employees.

Moving employees between your companies is free, so use it to balance production and maximise profits. Moving an employee doesn’t affect their Fidelity. The only downside is that they receive a notification every time you move them.

5. Fidelity matters.

Fidelity is a bonus that increases an employee’s productivity. The longer they stay working for you, the higher it becomes. It increases by 1 per day, up to a maximum of 10. Try to keep your employees with you for as long as possible to get the full benefit. Open a chain of comms with them, pop them a DM to welcome them and to let you know if there’s ever any unhappiness.

6. Base resource companies are easier to manage.

Putting employees in base resource companies (iron, limestone, lead, etc.) is much easier than putting them in secondary resource companies (steel, concrete, ammo, etc.). With base resources, you simply hit Produce. Secondary resources require you to keep enough base resources in stock before you can produce them. If you’re not paying attention, storage can fill up and your employee won’t be able to work, which will make them unhappy. If you want employees in secondary resource companies, try to also have employees producing the required base resources so everything stays balanced. If you not producing enough of the base resource, you will spend a lot of time buying and selling.

7. Upgrade your storage.

Upgrade the storage in any company that has employees. Level 2 should be the minimum, but go higher if you’re not online often or if your employees have high Eco. Full storage is frustrating for employees because they can’t work.

8. Finding good employees.

It can be frustrating to find reliable employees. If your salary offer is too low, you’ll often attract newer players who may disappear after a few days or leave for another company. You can be specific about who you’re looking for. I usually set a minimum level of 10 or 15 to avoid hiring players who are unlikely to stick around. It’s always better to recruit someone from your country’s chat or Discord server, as they’re much more likely to stay than a random player.

Good luck and ask if you have any questions
