Letter of Love: (German) Community comic goes International!

This comic features an entirely authentic, player-driven story based on the game itself. None of the characters or scenarios are fictional—they actually took place in-game some time ago.

I created some of the core characters right at the beginning. Initially, I only planned to tell a short story, but as the fanbase grew, I just couldn't stop. The journey continues, and our community loves seeing themselves immortalized in the comic!

Season one is now complete, focusing on German players. However, future seasons will open up to international players, provided it fits the lore. If you want to be a part of it, just send me a message and we’ll see how we can write you in!

I don’t recommend this comic simply because I’m the creator; I recommend it because as the story unfolds, you’ll truly feel the passion and love poured into every single page. I hope you enjoy the ride!

Initially, I relied solely on Gemini to generate the scenes and characters. I soon hit a bottleneck and experimented with local AI image generation via ComfyUI, but found it too limited for my needs and quickly abandoned it.

Instead, I developed a complete, custom workflow: I generate the scenes and characters with ChatGPT, remove the backgrounds using a local Gradio instance ('removebg'), and manually compose everything in GIMP, using AI assistance to fine-tune the final positioning.

Moving forward, I will be using DeepL to translate the comic so I can share this story with the English-speaking community!

The Season 1 Comic is already released in german, so avoid those chapters to avoid spoilers!!
