Hey world leaders,
A lot of people keep asking - "Are y'all joining AF?" "Did you put that country order on Vietnam because you're siding with Brunei?"
And we always answer the same - we're neutral.
But when I say neutral, don't get me wrong. We're not the United Nations. We're not the country that sits on the fence quietly pretending to be angels.
We'll shoot both sides. We don't care if you're the Federation, anti-Kysely Coalition, or Japan. We play fair. Don't take it personally.
We'll take your problems. Yeah, we accept some refugees. And some of us become the refugees, go into the jungle, shoot at you when we retire. We'll talk to everyone, trade with everyone. Want Malaysia to take care of your money? Let's discuss.
We don't have permanent allies yet. Friends today, enemies tomorrow. We haven't got into long wars yet. But we're not passive. When we fight, we fight HARD. And just because we're not allies, it doesn't mean we're unfriendly.
But we'll help negotiate peace. Ironic, right? We'll shoot both sides, but we're also sitting at the negotiation table.
This game is best when everyone's having fun. When players are active. When there's drama & chaos but people don't ragequit.
We DON'T WANT people running players out of the game just to win. You wanna conquer? Go ahead. Wanna take territories? Be our guest. But when you start crushing people until they give up and quit permanently? That's where we draw the line.
We also don't like reparations or ridiculous demands. This kind of stuff BLOCKS peace. This kind of stuff makes people quit. This kind of stuff breeds grudges. One month of peace, then the same old fight again. We're not trying to have a Hundred Years War here.
Ideally? White peace. Sign a NAP. Then go fight someone else.
Simple. Clean. Everyone gets to keep playing. You get your epic war story, then we move on to the next arc. THAT'S the good shit.
Building empires, wanting huge territories - that's PART of the game. This is War Era. We have no issue with victories and conquests. Revenge is sweeter when you've worked hard for it. Let the story play out naturally. Let the conquered rise up. Let the empire deal with it. Organic content is best content.
However, we don't like hegemonies.
Hegemonies aren't just about being strong. A hegemony FORCES everyone to play their way. Fun or not, you gotta follow. The easiest way to hold power? They're the only ones left playing. Everyone else is forced to ragequit. Even their own ALLIES have to comply. When a hegemony exists, there are no true wars anymore. Only rebellions against a single global power. BORING.
But don't get confused - being strong for a few weeks isn't a hegemony. Conquering a couple of continents isn't a hegemony. Hegemony is when one side becomes unstoppable, unbeatable, destroys the balance of the world. When everyone sides with the strong because there's no other choice.
And if it reaches that point? If one side becomes truly unbearable and unbeatable? We'll fight. Malaysia rises up. But we're not there yet.
Let people celebrate their wins. Especially when they used to be the ones getting beaten. Let both sides enjoy the turntables. It's fair that you are treated the way you treat your enemies.
BUT this policy can change. A policy isn't a contract. A policy isn't an eternal promise.
Different leaders come and go, and sometimes different stances. If the situation changes drastically, we adjust. This is Malaysia's stance TODAY, with TODAY'S leadership.
Why did we choose neutrality? That's the story for the next article. What's important is y'all know - we're neutral, but not passive.
