Manulposting: Prinsessa – the Finnish Princess

Today I went to the Prague Zoo and I encountered one of the most famous and distinctive-looking manuls: Prinsessa!

Born in June of 2023 in Korkeasaari Zoo in Helsinki, some might say her Finnish origin is the reason behind her distinctive sad-looking face.

Here she has climbed to the top of her enclosure, where she has a better view

The Finnish princess was moved from the Korkeasaari Zoo to the Prague Zoo in February of 2024, where she has been staying since then.

In the Prague Zoo, Prinsessa is also accompanied by 6-year-old Spay. Spay was sleeping when I saw him, basking in the sun. There is a tunnel between their enclosures. However, that tunnel is only open during mating season.
