Market Update: Broad Price Surges, Oil Reigns Supreme, and the Great Steel Recovery! (23/06/26)

I hope you are doing well today! A lot of products are raising their Profit per PP due to strong price increments for today’s report. Here is your summary of profitability and wage updates:

A significant number of commodities have seen their profit margins widen today. Similar to our last updates, the price of Oil remains exceptionally high, making it incredibly lucrative. Supported by an even higher production bonus in Costa Rica, Oil completely protects its first-place crown in raw Profit per PP.
Securing second place is Paper. Despite a lower production bonus in Türkiye (20.50%), immense demand has driven prices up, keeping the production margins remarkably wide.
In another major turn of events, Steel prices started surging yesterday, successfully steering the Steel industry back into highly profitable territory. Wood has also shot up to 0.095 BTC once and self-adjusted to a premium price of 0.087 at the time of writing.

We have a very interesting development in our regional data tracks today. Costa Rica has officially captured first place in the Regional Wage Ranking. Despite carrying a notable 10% tax rate, a fresh 5% Strategic Resource (SR) bonus gained just a few hours ago has pushed its production bonus to 50%. At this precise moment, if you are looking to run factories passively via AE or hire workers, moving your company to Costa Rica is objectively your best strategic play.

1. Profit per PP (/Top Hiring Wages): Dictates your raw margin when utilising Automated Engines (AE) without workers. Higher on the list = better passive returns.
2. Top Gross Wages (Full Fidelity): The break-even ceiling for full-fidelity workers (stayed for 10+ days). Use this to progressively scale up your new hire wages to maximise employee retention.
3. Top Net Wages (Full Fidelity)
For Bosses: The absolute maximum net wage you can offer without running a deficit. Excellent for scouting company relocation regions.
For Workers: A benchmark to check if your current employer is paying you fairly, or if it's time to switch sectors.
