Market Update: Oil Spikes to the Top & Critical v4.0.2 Tool Hotfix! (18/06/26)

DAAPJune 18, 2026economy

Hi eco players of War Era,

In case you missed our last summary from two days ago, you can catch up here: https://app.warera.io/article/6a315bebb984a7978b771518

First, a quick tool announcement: anyone utilising my data scripts should pull the latest update immediately. I have deployed a hotfix in the v4.0.4 release to rectify a calculation flaw in which the tool incorrectly ignored industrialised countries that do not specialise in industrial goods and misapplied certain deposit bonuses. The executable, Python script, and web dashboard have all been fully updated, so please give this fresh build a try!

I hope this article finds you in pink health! Here is your daily summary of profitability and wage updates:

Figure 1: Product Profitability Ranking, sorted by peak Profit per PP (UTC)

Oil has spiked hard to secure the number 1 spot in raw profit margins. This dramatic movement is highly likely due to recent game update leaks regarding the incoming movement updates, alongside overwhelming wars breaking out across the map.

Meanwhile, Mysterious Plant’s market price has normalised back to a standard rate. However, through the strong backing of Zambia and Ecuador's production bonuses, the product remains highly lucrative. On the flip side, Wood has experienced a sharp correction compared to our last report, tumbling all the way down to 13th place in raw Profit per PP.

At the same time, Fish has secured its place in the top six due to a fresh deposit in Iceland that will remain active for the next 3 days.

Top Six Products in Profit/pp (Passive AE Income/New Hire Starting Wages)

For corporate owners running low-maintenance setups with zero manual workers, or those looking to calculate the best gross break-even baselines for new hires, these are today's premier options:

  • Oil (Costa Rica): 0.132 BTC/pp

  • Iron (Egypt): 0.130 BTC/pp

  • Mysterious Plant (Zambia/Ecuador): 0.128 BTC/pp

  • Limestone (Iraq): 0.128 BTC/pp

  • Steel (South Africa): 0.128 BTC/pp

  • Fish (Iceland): 0.128 BTC/pp

Figure 2: Regional Wage Ranking, sorted by Top Net Wages (>= 0.120 BTC/pp)

Driven by the global fuel price surge, Oil production in Costa Rica completely dominates the Top Net Wages chart. By combining the industry's highest active production bonus with an exceptionally low regional tax rate, Costa Rica has become the absolute best operational hub for employers looking to keep take-home pay competitive for their labourers.

Top Five Countries or Regions in Net Wages

For employers who want to retain full fidelity workers by providing premium net wages while safeguarding their profit margins, or for employees looking to scout a more well-paying industry, these are today's premier operational hubs:

  • Oil (Eastern Costa Rica, Costa Rica): 0.136 BTC/pp (Higher production bonus)

  • Mysterious Plant (Luapula, Zambia): 0.132 BTC/pp (Lower income tax rate)

  • Mysterious Plant (Ecuadorian Coast, Ecuador): 0.131 BTC/pp

  • Oil (Cyprus): 0.130 BTC/pp

  • Livestock (Yangon, Myanmar): 0.129 BTC/pp

Quick Guide: How to Read the Metrics

(For a deeper dive, check out my previous comprehensive guide https://app.warera.io/article/6a2dbfa8bf1497024a04a6a4.)

1. Profit per PP (/Top Hiring Wages): Dictates your raw margin when utilising Automated Engines (AE) without workers. Higher on the list = better passive returns.

2. Top Gross Wages (Full Fidelity): The break-even ceiling for full-fidelity workers (stayed for 10+ days). Use this to progressively scale up your new hire wages to maximise employee retention.

3. Top Net Wages (Full Fidelity)

  • For Bosses: The absolute maximum net wage you can offer without running a deficit. Excellent for scouting company relocation regions.

  • For Workers: A benchmark to check if your current employer is paying you fairly, or if it's time to switch sectors.

Reminder: Both Figure 1 and Figure 2 are real-time market snapshots. Because the game economy fluctuates constantly, these numbers will continue to shift.
