May 9th: Let's Keep Our Battles Virtual

Today is May 9th, a day that carries a heavy, solemn weight. It’s a time to remember past sacrifices and the absolute, senseless horror of war.

As someone from Russia, I understand that hearing wishes for peace from me today might provoke anger or cynical questions like "What about what is happening right now?" I want to be completely clear: despite the ongoing tragedies, I do not support the continuation of these conflicts or the actions of the government. My deepest, most sincere wish is for a swift end to the bloodshed and for genuine peace to be restored for everyone.

This brings me to our community here in Warera. We log in from different corners of the world, carrying our own backgrounds and frustrations. Things get heated, and the chat can often be toxic. But honestly? I am grateful for it. I would vastly prefer a million bitter internet clashes, flame wars, and forum arguments over a single day of real armed conflict.

When we fight in this game, the only things bruised are our egos. Internet drama doesn't leave behind destroyed cities or grieving families. It is an absolute privilege to be able to clash and resolve our differences through pixels and servers rather than on a physical battlefield.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish peace to every single home. No matter what flag is outside your window, I hope your life remains untouched by real war. Let’s keep our worst rivalries strictly virtual. Peace and sanity to everyone.
