Ladies, gentlemen, and War Era femboys.
A few days after the tournament ended, mostly because the celebrations were many and IRL work doesn’t help, I wanted to share with you all the memories of the tournament.
As you already know, both https://app.warera.io/mu/6876841e7071f3c01bfe98a5 and Japan love fighting in tournaments.
Before this one started, we had already won 3 country-tournaments and 1 MU-tournament, always been protagonist.
However, the defeat in the finals of the last Countries Tournament against Germany (with Egypt’s indispensable help) had planted some doubts...
Would we actually take this tournament seriously, or would we let it pass?
A poll on the Japan server gave a clear answer: keep winning and see how the match schedule goes.
Yes, match schedule.
That thing that has always hated us, always forcing us to fight 2, 3, or even 4 “finals before the final.”
But this tournament felt different.
After a series of opening battles that honestly barely even counted as battles due to the lack of resistance, the first real opponent appeared in the Round of 16.
Old acquaintances of ours. We knew this wouldn’t be an easy fight.
Even though some rumors claimed Granaderos wouldn’t take the tournament seriously, we were paying attention to one key factor: https://app.warera.io/user/682946176eb7334102607230
https://app.warera.io/user/682946176eb7334102607230, former ronin, is the living definition of “femboys only want to have fun.”
And that’s exactly what happened.
What should have been a routine battle turned into coordinated damage waves to counter the rebellious femboy’s efforts. A luxury warm-up for what was coming next.

While we were dancing with Micchan, brutal battles were unfolding in the other brackets. https://app.warera.io/mu/693c746b19f6f7570729a16a managed to defeat Diamond Dogs after a hard-fought series.
They were old acquaintances too. Since they had previously played in Malaysia and Russia, and had 2 former ronins among their ranks, we knew the second round would become hell once they started coming out of debuff.
And let me tell you something, friends: an easy match schedule can also be a curse.
We were too cold coming into the match and made several early mistakes when they launched their strong push. Calmness and organization quickly returned, though, and through a collective effort led by https://app.warera.io/user/6813b76fefecdf9bab196a14, https://app.warera.io/user/68ac9032db18b3f402e3b506, https://app.warera.io/user/6829380107c3bd8a261d82d9, and https://app.warera.io/user/68540e262c7799fdf9c05561 (and others), we managed to hold our ground during key ticks until the enemy reserves were exhausted.

Even though we knew our next opponent was an MU made up of players averaging level 25, underestimating them was not an option.
We had fought alongside them in the previous Countries Tournament and knew they were fierce warriors. They also arrived extremely fresh, while many of our own warriors would either be in debuff or asleep for Round 2.
None of the previous battles had ended in 3 rounds, so the moment the rush from the previous fight ended, we already had to focus on this one.
Round 1 went smoothly enough, but Round 2 was a coin toss.
Little by little, we noticed organizational gaps in the enemy MU that the few of us not in debuff, or even fighting while debuffed, could exploit.
The help from https://app.warera.io/user/69ad50438ebbacc9d8526585 and https://app.warera.io/user/6814016a7df60827954e2580 at critical moments was fundamental, and also with https://app.warera.io/user/6829380107c3bd8a261d82d9, me, and https://app.warera.io/user/69a7fdf917aca3aec69d3291 helping close out the final ticks.

Now came a confrontation against a completely unknown enemy.
We had no references regarding the MU or its players, meaning our strategy had to focus first on deeply studying them before making any wrong move.
On the other side of the bracket, the two Uruguayan MUs (and honestly, I thought one of them would be our finals opponent) had put up massive resistance against the other semifinalists.
That meant whoever emerged victorious would likely arrive far more exhausted than us.
So in this battle, conserving resources, effort, and damage output was crucial if we wanted to arrive at the finals in the best possible condition.
The enemy MU started Round 1 extremely strong, countering our attacks and dominating the early grounds. Wave after wave of warriors arrived from their side, continuing to expand the advantage.
Until https://app.warera.io/user/682cc31c5eda75b3b2faaab7, https://app.warera.io/user/687a3c331406f901ee5384c0, and https://app.warera.io/user/698e6b3ffafd5290263fe4a8 raised their hands.
“We’ll turn it around. You guys save yourselves for the finals.”
And they did.
The three ronins rapidly changed the situation through fire and blood, helping stabilize the rest of the team and maintain control.
Special mention to https://app.warera.io/user/689a07bde7c74552d8e981bc and https://app.warera.io/user/68a08b446822e7e041d59210, who did 1M without buff while saving himself for the finals.
Once Round 1 ended, and with a clearly unfavorable timezone for the South African MU, all that remained was containing the few attacks coming from their side while we began planning the final battle.

Once our semifinal ended, everyone’s eyes turned toward the brutal clash between https://app.warera.io/mu/694c38109a19c1c978340b92 and https://app.warera.io/mu/6942f37015d752dafdea71c4.
Every https://app.warera.io/mu/694c38109a19c1c978340b92 buff was analyzed and incorporated into our battle plans.
We knew this would not be an easy final.
In Round 1, they would be at a severe disadvantage in terms of active warriors. But as I told my guys:
“Round 2 is going to be hell”
Round 1 was far more intense than we expected.
The original order was to try winning without buffs so we could fully prepare for Round 2, but we quickly realized that would be impossible.
Little by little, the Latvian warriors pushed harder and harder, forcing https://app.warera.io/user/6817dd4c0aebee2e83ae91bc and https://app.warera.io/user/69a74ba543bacf277582fe11, who had been waiting since the beginning of the tournament to use pills and jets, to enter the fight and counter them.
We slowly gained ground, but the enemy never stopped.
They kept sending more and more. Every new soldier entering the battlefield became another headache.
And we knew exactly who the biggest headache of Round 1 would be: https://app.warera.io/user/6844a2042d38aea3f7d9afc0.
His entrance shook the battle so much that https://app.warera.io/user/6813b76fefecdf9bab196a14, https://app.warera.io/user/68540e262c7799fdf9c05561, https://app.warera.io/user/68a08b446822e7e041d59210, and https://app.warera.io/user/68ac9032db18b3f402e3b506 had to use pills just to counter him.

Round 2 truly was going to be hell.
Meanwhile, the chat was heating up.
Crossed messages, surprise appearances from old enemies (Euler we love u), and overwhelming support for Latvia echoed through every corner of War Era.
But https://app.warera.io/user/6866c3f4be1cef5842dfe2b7 brought calmness:
“I have my jets ready.”
And so it happened.
The beginning of Round 2 became a succession of brutal exchanges.
https://app.warera.io/user/6866c3f4be1cef5842dfe2b7, together with https://app.warera.io/user/68a08b446822e7e041d59210, https://app.warera.io/user/6813b76fefecdf9bab196a14, https://app.warera.io/user/683c739781b2e093d7c38f69, https://app.warera.io/user/69a7fdf917aca3aec69d3291 and https://app.warera.io/user/684b9d2673fdf18ac6b4ce24, did the impossible to hold and win key ticks.
Little by little, more ronins started waking up (myself included, lol), waiting for orders before throwing themselves into battle.
On Latvia’s side, the pressure never slowed down.
Wave after wave of millions of damage kept arriving as more of their warriors came out of debuff.
And we weren’t only waiting for https://app.warera.io/user/6844a2042d38aea3f7d9afc0 to run out of energy, we were waiting for the President himself.
https://app.warera.io/user/681c609b663073ec7c1cd493 played his cards brilliantly.
He sent other soldiers first while waiting himself, forcing many of our warriors to use pills and essentially betting everything on winning in Round 2, leaving us almost no chance in a potential Round 3.
https://app.warera.io/user/689a07bde7c74552d8e981bc entered incredibly strong, temporarily stabilizing the situation, but Latvia managed to flip the battle and build a wall of over 2M.
It was time to wait.
The round wasn’t even at +2 yet.
Once +2 arrived, a new offensive came from our side.
https://app.warera.io/user/6829380107c3bd8a261d82d9, https://app.warera.io/user/6813b751efecdf9bab194aab, https://app.warera.io/user/698db89ca3e9cf3ba64237c8, https://app.warera.io/user/687ee2e7da8c5de4ed293b49, and me, supported by the little energy our other buffed players still had left, pushed hard, turned the battle around, and created a constant back-and-forth while gaining ground.
The problem was that Latvia never seemed to run out of energy.
They always had more.
https://app.warera.io/user/6829380107c3bd8a261d82d9 dealt insane amounts of damage, but it still never seemed enough.
With some of our own players entering debuff, a critical moment appeared.
And right then, in a perfectly calculated move, https://app.warera.io/user/682cc31c5eda75b3b2faaab7and https://app.warera.io/user/687a3c331406f901ee5384c0 came out of debuff and hit like a punch to the face, rescuing several key ticks at decisive moments.
But new Latvian soldiers also kept leaving debuff. Once again, their energy seemed endless.
Almost completely exhausted, we looked to the sky and prayed.
Our beloved https://app.warera.io/user/6828643930891af9015a8fcd awoke from his slumber and started dealing heavy damage, enough to temporarily stop the enemy advance, accompanied by https://app.warera.io/user/6825722c88c14b2abd8e19ed, who was still half-asleep.
But honestly, the damage done by warriors like https://app.warera.io/user/693da8ff4b58f7e16d8be861, https://app.warera.io/user/6832666c8e990a7d9be6c4c7, https://app.warera.io/user/6962ae05cde9ff82a4eaa4e1, https://app.warera.io/user/69626f60e705ef34433d9954, and others, far beyond anything we expected (congrats guys!), turned the battle into almost a dead-even tie.
Both sides nearly out of energy, fighting desperately to stay ahead even by 1k just to steal ticks.
Several times we managed it, but the Latvian warriors, with superior equipment, kept stealing the ticks back at the very last second, old-school style.
And then came an unexpected salvation.
https://app.warera.io/user/68e8096cae6ed05f12459f0e, whom we had been pinging to death in discord for over two hours, finally appeared with a brand-new red set and slammed down a 1M difference that, at that moment, felt almost decisive, allowing us to gain massive ground uncontested.
The hourly recharge became the key factor.
Both sides were on their final breath, but we held the ground advantage and still had one last soldier (https://app.warera.io/user/698e6b3ffafd5290263fe4a8) close to leave debuff.

Finally, our recharges proved stronger, practically deciding the battle 40 minutes before the end, while also giving everyone one of the greatest tournament finals this game has ever seen.

For my part, I want to congratulate and thank the brave soldiers of Latvia / https://app.warera.io/mu/694c38109a19c1c978340b92
An unforgettable final where they gave absolutely everything.
And of course, I want to congratulate and thank my ronins for their commitment, organization, enthusiasm, desperate calculations in every moment, and the laughter that never disappeared even in the worst situations.
I’ve said it many times already, but I couldn’t be prouder to be the president of this nation of crazy warriors.
Now then...
PUT BOUNTY!
(and pls tip, I need to recover after all of this)
