Message to the Brotherly Nations of África: Justice and Sovereignty
From the Republic of Venezuela, we address the leaders, communities, and citizens of the African continent to clarify our recent military actions and establish the foundations for a coexistence based on mutual respect.
A Response, Not a Colonization
We want to be categorical: Venezuela has no colonial ambitions. Our history is forged in the struggle against imperialism, and we do not seek to cast the shadows of the past over the free peoples of Africa.
The presence of our forces on the continent is not an act of territorial expansion, but a defensive measure and a direct response to the unjustified aggressions perpetrated by the governments of:

Every State has the right and the duty to protect its integrity. Having been attacked by these nations, Venezuela has proceeded to neutralize the threat under the principle of reciprocity.
Open Doors to Diplomacy
We firmly believe that dialogue should prevail over conflict. Therefore, we extend a formal invitation to all African nations wishing to establish transparent communication channels.
