New phase in the Turkish-Ukrainian war

Turkiye has begun a new large-scale military campaign on Ukrainian territory

• Whilst Bulgaria and Hungary were tying down the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the western front, Turkiye was preparing an attack across the Black Sea on the Crimean Peninsula, and Turkey’s proxy, Azerbaijan, pushed forward on the eastern axis, allegedly seizing territory of the Russian steppes ahead of an offensive on Donbas.

• Why “allegedly”? Russian forces rebelled against the Polish Empire, inflicting significant damage alongside their allies and regaining control of their territory, yet the very next day they offered almost no resistance to the Azerbaijani invaders.

• Today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have no time to rest and are resisting a formidable enemy. I therefore call on the military leadership to act in a coordinated and measured manner; Ukrainian units must respond swiftly to orders from the supreme commanders.
