Official Announcement: Malaysia joins The Inglourious Basterds!

On the 9th of August, 2026, Malaysia's citizens participated in a binding referendum to decide the future of the nation. In it, 4 questions were asked of the Malaysian rakyat (TL: 'people').

Motion 1

From the results, a majority of players indicated their preference for a non-neutral Malaysia. While a new alliance will lead to new strategic goals, Malaysia pledges to continue protecting the sovereignty of Singapore and the neutrality of Myanmar, and to honor any ongoing commitments made while in https://app.warera.io/alliance/6a2b7f4069b4dc0dc16b780b.

With this announcement, the Malaysian government accomplishes all 3 of the most popular options in Motion 2. So, what's next?

Externally, Malaysia now has new allies, but that also means new enemies who cannot bear to see us take our fate into our own hands. We still remain committed to polite conversations, honest discussions, and good-faith negotiations, but we also accept that some people cannot be reasoned with. There will be many challenges in the future, both old and new, as Malaysia prepares herself to stand on the world stage.

Internally, this referendum represents one of this administration's key priorities:
