Recently, we have observed that both allied and opposing nations often choose to discuss matters concerning Azerbaijan with other countries instead of communicating directly with us. This approach is incorrect and does not respect the sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
We wish to make our position absolutely clear:
Azerbaijan is governed by Azerbaijanis. The Republic of Azerbaijan is not controlled or directed by any foreign country, leader, or external power. Every political, diplomatic, and military decision concerning Azerbaijan is made solely by the Azerbaijani state.
Whether Azerbaijan is free, occupied, at peace, or at war, one principle will never change:
All matters concerning Azerbaijan must be discussed directly with the representatives of Azerbaijan.
If your nation wishes to establish an alliance with us, negotiate peace, discuss diplomatic matters, or declare hostility, those discussions must be held directly with Azerbaijan-not through any third party.
Let us state this once again:
Every decision regarding Azerbaijan is made solely by the Azerbaijani state and the Azerbaijani people.
If you wish to communicate with Azerbaijan whether as an ally or as an adversary contact us directly. Do not expect another nation to speak or decide on Azerbaijan's behalf.
