On the murder of Pope Red I

Only a few days have passed since one of the Church’s most prominent Cardinals was exposed as a traitor and a spy, now another terrible revelation has reached us.

His guards discovered his body this morning. Upon examination, the marks upon his neck left little doubt as to the manner of his death: he had been strangled.

I struggle to put into words the weight of this tragedy. The Holy Father, shepherd of Christ’s flock has been taken from us by the hands of a murderer.


September 27 - Evening

I retreated into my studies, seeking refuge in the history of our Church.

There, among the old books, i found one concerning the Inquisition.

I had heard of this dark period before a time when the Inquisition grew so powerful that it seized control of the Church’s affairs and prevented the election of a new Pope.

But as I read further, something within me changed.

The pieces suddenly came together.

I understood.

September 30

I am no longer alone in my conviction. Several within the Church have heard my words and been swayed by them.

If the Church is to recover from its controversies and return to its true purpose, perhaps our first duty is not to elect another Pope, but to purge the corruption that has weakened the Holy See.

The Church must become stronger.

Purified.

Disciplined.

And perhaps the Inquisition must once again take its rightful place as the hand that guides it.

Tonight, we have begun making preparations.

Soon, the Church will have to choose between reform......and obedience.
