We have read your article carefully. It is well written. Measured. It uses the language of patience, solidarity, and liberation. It is also, from beginning to end, a justification for invasion dressed in the clothes of idealism, and Denmark will not let it go unanswered.
Let us start with the foundation of your argument. You claim Sweden marched to liberate Denmark from foreign influence corrupting our government. A remarkable claim made by a foreign government, about a foreign government, as justification for a foreign military crossing our border uninvited. The irony is not lost on us. You are describing the very thing you are doing, and calling it the cure.
You say you remained patient so long as Denmark maintained neutrality. In other words, Sweden's patience was conditional on Denmark doing what Sweden preferred. That is not patience. That is an ultimatum with a smile.
The Scotland raid is cited as the breaking point. Denmark acted alongside its allies in a military operation. Sweden acts alongside its allies constantly. The difference, apparently, is that Sweden's alliances are called solidarity, while Denmark's are called foreign corruption. We would ask you to reflect on that distinction honestly.
"För Norden I Tiden". For the North in its time. A beautiful phrase. But the North is not one country. It is many peoples, many histories, many sovereign choices. A Nordic union built on the barrel of a gun pointed at Copenhagen is not unity. It is conquest with better branding.
Denmark was not hostage to foreign influence. Denmark made choices. Choices Sweden disagreed with. And rather than respect that sovereignty, Sweden marched.
Call it what it is, Lord_Stig. We can handle the truth, even if the article cannot.
