Paper Market Cools as Zambia's Mysterious Plant Explodes!

DAAPJune 16, 2026economy

Hi eco players of War Era,

In case you missed our last summary from last Friday: https://app.warera.io/article/6a2b19ead98ce0aeeeff22e2

I hope you have all been enjoying your healthy profit margins over the last few days! Here is your daily summary of profitability and wage updates:

Figure 1: Product Profitability Ranking, sorted by peak Profit per PP (UTC)

Paper has officially slipped down to number 11 in our Profit per PP rankings. This correction is likely driven by the massive production bonuses in Türkiye, leading to an oversupply on the open market.

Meanwhile, a massive new player has entered the playground: Mysterious Plant (Zambia). It currently dominates both Profit per PP and Top Net Wages due to a combination of an abnormally high market price, high regional bonuses, and lower base wages offered in Zambia. It is highly foreseeable that a flood of players will shift their company toward Mysterious Plant soon, driving the price back down to normal. Take your chance to extract premium profits before the window closes!

On a side note, Wood has silently climbed its way back into the top five as its prices experience a steady increment. Additionally, the Fish node bonus in Greenland is on the verge of depleting, so keep a very close eye on your fishing corporate infrastructure.

Top Five Products in Profit per PP (Passive AE Income/New Hire Starting Wages)

For corporate owners running low-maintenance setups with zero manual workers, or those looking to calculate the best gross break-even baselines for new hires, these are today's premier options:

  • Mysterious Plant (Luapula, Zambia): 0.146 BTC/pp (Deposit has 4 days 15 hours left)

  • Steel (South Africa): 0.130 BTC/pp

  • Iron (Egypt): 0.129 BTC/pp

  • Wood (United States): 0.129 BTC/pp

  • Fish (Greenland): 0.128 BTC/pp (Deposit has 3 hours left)

Figure 2: Regional Wage Ranking, sorted by Top Net Wages (>= 0.120 BTC/pp)

We currently have two prominent SR-oriented industries sitting inside the Top Five for Net Wages: Steak in Equatorial Guinea and Light Ammo in Malaysia.

Steak joined the top net wage tier a few days ago. Thanks to a market-leading 20% production bonus and an incredibly low tax rate of 2.5%, employers in Equatorial Guinea can comfortably offer their workers a premium net wage of 0.131 BTC/pp without running a deficit. This is currently the highest net wages on the map for the stable industry.

As always, Malaysia remains an elite, highly stable choice, offering 0.126 BTC/pp in Top Net Wages driven by its 40% Light Ammo production bonus and tiny 1% income tax rate. If you are operating in war mode with tight company skill point restrictions, opening a manufacturer in Malaysia to hire workers is a brilliant way to stockpile cheap ammo below market value.

Top Five Countries or Regions in Net Wages

For employers who want to retain full fidelity workers by providing premium net wages while safeguarding their profit margins, or for employees looking to scout a more well-paying industry, these are today's premier operational hubs:

  • Mysterious Plant (Luapula, Zambia): 0.151 BTC/pp (Deposit has 4 days 15 hours left, higher production bonus at 60%)

  • Steak (Equatorial Guinea): 0.131 BTC/pp

  • Light Ammo (Malaysia): 0.126 BTC/pp

  • Livestock (Singapore): 0.126 BTC/pp (Deposit has 21 hours left)

  • Mysterious Plant (Nuba Mountains, Sudan): 0.126 BTC/pp (Deposit has 19 hours left, lower income tax at 1%)

Quick Guide: How to Read the Metrics

(For a deeper dive, check out my previous comprehensive guide https://app.warera.io/article/6a2dbfa8bf1497024a04a6a4.)

1. Profit per PP (/Top Hiring Wages): Dictates your raw margin when utilising Automated Engines (AE) without workers. Higher on the list = better passive returns.

2. Top Gross Wages (Full Fidelity): The break-even ceiling for full-fidelity workers (stayed for 10+ days). Use this to progressively scale up your new hire wages to maximise employee retention.

3. Top Net Wages (Full Fidelity)

  • For Bosses: The absolute maximum net wage you can offer without running a deficit. Excellent for scouting company relocation regions.

  • For Workers: A benchmark to check if your current employer is paying you fairly, or if it's time to switch sectors.

Reminder: Both Figure 1 and Figure 2 are real-time market snapshots. Because the game economy fluctuates constantly, these numbers will continue to shift.
