After days of fighting, negotiations and more chaos than I expected to deal with during my first days in office, I can finally announce that Spain and Andorra have reached a peace agreement.

The war has been long, expensive and intense for both sides.

Spain has already demonstrated that it is capable of defending its interests when necessary, and I believe that once our objectives can be achieved through diplomacy, continuing a war simply for the sake of continuing it would make little sense.

Peace does not mean forgetting what happened.

It means establishing clear conditions that protect Spain, reduce unnecessary conflict and give both nations the opportunity to move forward.

Andorra

As part of what will be known as the Sacred Mandate of Andorra Agreement, the Andorran Government has committed itself to the following:

• Leave the Hippo Unchained alliance.

• Adopt the government party policy "Inmoral".

• Not initiate any direct or indirect attack against Spain until 31 October 2026.

• Cease conspiracies and actions aimed at destabilising Spain.

• Maintain a permanent Spanish embassy in Andorra.

Once Andorra has left Hippo Unchained and the government has adopted the Inmoral policy, Spain will return the capital of the Sacred Mandate.

Spain's commitments

Spain also assumes obligations under this agreement.

The Spanish Government commits itself to:

• Return the capital of Andorra once the agreed political and alliance conditions have been fulfilled.

• Not initiate any direct or indirect attack against the Sacred Mandate until 31 October 2026.

• Respect this peace as long as Andorra maintains the Inmoral government policy.

• Maintain a Andorran embassy in Spain.

The non-aggression agreement therefore works in both directions.

Spain will respect the peace while the Sacred Mandate respects the conditions that made this peace possible.

What this agreement means

I want to make one thing very clear, Spain is not signing this agreement because we were forced to stop fighting, we are signing it because the objectives for which we fought can now be secured through an agreement instead of continuing to spend Spanish resources and Spanish damage unnecessarily.

Andorra leaves an alliance hostile to our interests, commits itself to ending actions against the stability of Spain and accepts a period of non-aggression between our nations in return, Spain returns its capital and guarantees that we will not attack them while the agreement is respected.

That is the basis of the peace, there is no unconditional friendship here, nor does this agreement erase what happened during the conflict, it simply establishes a new relationship between our countries based on very clear conditions.

Until 31 October

The current agreement will remain in force until 31 October 2026.

Before that date arrives, both governments will have the opportunity to evaluate whether the agreement has worked and negotiate its renewal if both sides consider it appropriate.

Until then, my position is simple:

Spain will respect every commitment it has signed, and I expect exactly the same from Andorra, we fought when fighting was necessary, now we have achieved a peace that protects Spanish interests and as long as that peace is respected, Spain will respect it too.
