The world grows complacent..
Too many nations mistake our patience for weakness, our diplomacy for hesitation, and our willingness to cooperate for a lack of resolve. They could not be more mistaken.
South Africa has spent months building alliances, protecting friends, and securing stability wherever chaos threatened to take root. Recent examples such as the liberation of Australia to the defense of Djibouti and the struggle for self-determination in the Canary Islands, our soldiers have stood where others merely watched.
We have heard the accusations. Warmongers, interventionists, imperialists.
Yet it is not South Africa that threatens its neighbors. It is not South Africa that abandons its allies when danger arrives. It is not South Africa that hides behind speeches while others bleed.
We believe that peace is valuable. We simply recognize a truth many would rather ignore:
Peace must be enforced.
A nation unwilling to defend its interests will soon find it has none. A nation unwilling to act will eventually be acted upon. History does not remember the passive. History remembers those with the courage to shape it.
To those who share our vision, our doors remain open. To those who seek partnership, prosperity, and security, South Africa stands ready.
But to those who would challenge the order we are building, understand this:
We will not wait to be threatened.
We will not apologize for our strength.
And when the moment comes to act, we will act decisively.
The world is changing. South Africa intends to be the nation that decides what comes next.
