PHILIPPINES GAZETTE: THE CONGRESS AT WORK | ISSUE #1

OFFICIAL PILIPINAS PRESS RELEASE

Good Day to all Philippines Citizens!

We elected 14 new congress officials last Sunday February 2, 2026, who will represent our country in international relations and establish the Philippines as its own country after liberation.

Now, the congress has been working tirelessly these past two days, and whilee they debated over the future of our nation, the seeds of law have been established.

Some will briefly presented to you here in this article. These include:

1. PULAWBI Law (PUblicize LAWs and BIlls)
   VOTING RESULT: 12 YES / 0 NO / 2 ABSTAIN
   * Allows the citizens to see established laws in both in the form of an article and in the official Philippines discord Channel.
   

2. Open Courthouse Law
   VOTING RESULTS: 9 YES / 0 NO / 4 ABSTAIN
   * Law intends to create a separate discussion channel for the Philippines citizens called "Open Courthouse" for all law discussions.
   

3. GOVERNMENT CODE OF CONDUCT
   VOTING RESULTS: 11 YES / 0 NO / 3 ABSTAIN
   * Law that sets expectations to all government officials in positions to maintain smooth communication and cohesion, and to prevent unacceptable behavior among officials. These rules create stability, fairness, and clear expectations so the system can function smoothly.
   

4. DISCORD Act (Documentation and Integrity in Structured Congressional Oversight, Review, and Decision-Making)
   VOTING RESULTS: 14 YES / 0 NO / 0 ABSTAIN
   * This Law requires filing a bill for discord changes to be approved by all congress members first before applying said changes. Primary author of bill should be the only one to make changes when approved.

At the moment, these are the first laws established by the first congress of the Republic.
