Then came the Great German Offensive.

Within days, centuries of carefully painted green pixels disappeared.

The surviving population retreated to its ancestral homeland.

Faced with extinction, the Lithuanians adapted.

Instead of conquering new territory...

they conquered Facebook groups.

Hundreds of new recruits answered the call, creating baby booms the game has ever seen.

It was an extraordinary success.

Unfortunately...

nature is rarely perfect.

Among the healthy newcomers, a new subspecies quietly emerged.
