🙈 This guide is for allies of the glorious Kingdom of Belgium only! If you are not an ally, please close your eyes. Except for our friends in Germany and Sweden. 😘
You ever looked at the top countries in active population and asked yourself "How do they do it"?
If so, this guide might shed some light on this plight.
Let's take a look at some of the top 10 countries in terms of active population.
Germany had its first baby boom around February 24th and has since managed to keep a steady supply of newcomers day after day.
Slow and steady wins the race as they say.
How do they do it?
By maintaining a steady flow of Reddit posts in their r/WarEraDE community.
Most of the days their top Reddit post has over 100 upvotes which seems to keep the player base growing at a steady pace.

Graph depicting the user growth of Germany in yellow versus the total amount of Reddit upvotes of that day in purple.
The Dutchies also have their own Reddit community (at r/WarEraNL), though their player growth seems less related to Reddit upvotes.

Then how do they do it?
Well, they have https://app.warera.io/user/692ee8d8d930f58a92c19dd3, the master recruiter.
The Swedes are a strange bunch, and it shows.
How did they achieve their recent baby boom?
They just made 1 viral post on their Reddit community (r/WarEraSWE) and they are still reaping the benefits.

Well done lads, keep it up!
Finally we arrive in the beautiful Kingdom of Belgium.
In Swedish fashion but just a bit more reserved, Belgium also had the good fortune of creating a somewhat successful Reddit post (at r/WareraBelgium) creating an influx of new players.

As Belgium has been active in the Reddit department a bit longer, but mainly due to the recruitment efforts of the great https://app.warera.io/user/692ee8d8d930f58a92c19dd3, it has been enjoying a slow trickle of new players for a while now, placing them firmly in the top 10 of populous countries.
There are many ways of recruiting new players and a dedicated Reddit community is just one of them.
In the case of Sweden and Belgium, it is quite clear that upvotes on that Reddit community are directly related to the number of new players.
So if you want more players in your country but have no idea how to get them, this might as well be worth a try.
I hope you learned and enjoyed!
Until next time, take care! 💛

ℹ️ It is likely the amount of views of a Reddit post is more important than the amount of upvotes. It safe to assume, however, that those two metrics are closely related. And most importantly, the views cannot be retrieved from the Reddit API.
ℹ️ I am well aware different countries have different community websites and Reddit is certainly not the only tool for recruitment. But I can only share with you the data I have myself.
ℹ️ The purple graph shows the total amount of upvotes on all posts. A single post with 300 upvotes is generally better for recruitment than 10 posts with 30 upvotes. But again, those 2 metrics are closely related and the data does not show a meaningful difference between the 2. Probably meaning that both, few posts with high upvotes, and many posts with few upvotes, contribute to the recruitment of new players.
