Through slim shades does the sun shine
My face, tired and cracked peeks at the morning sun
For but a moment I exists in blissful ignorance
Then they come back, memories and emotions
They wash over me like a wave and take root in my chest, stomach and heart
I crawl towards the glass of water beside my bed
Alas, it is empty
Empty, as I lay in the dark room
Staring at the past, and wondering
Why was it so hard to love me
