Portugal Answers Galicia’s Call

On behalf of the Spanish people, we want to express our sincere gratitude to Portugal for its support in the recovery of Galicia. Its intervention on the northern front has been a clear demonstration of Iberian brotherhood, allied commitment, and strategic solidarity within the ICPD.

​Portuguese support in Galicia has allowed us to strengthen our position in the north, but their commitment went even further: contributing a decisive 10M damage in the Battle of Catalonia. This extraordinary effort has been key while we concentrate our forces on the remaining fronts and the Canary Islands.

We celebrate an important victory on the front, not the end of the war. There are still territories to liberate and positions to consolidate, but today Spain and Portugal have shown that Iberian cooperation is a reality on the ground.

Spain reaffirms its commitment to mutual support with Portugal and with our allies in the ICPD.
