After a lot of planning, I am considering creating a new Mercenary Unit themed around the Power Rangers franchise. The goal is to build a coordinated, active, and recognizable MU that focuses on teamwork, squad identity, and organized contract warfare.
Before I officially open recruitment, I would like to gather opinions from the community regarding several aspects of the MU's structure and operation.
MU STRUCTURE:
The MU will have 5 squads.
1: Jungle Fury
2: samurai
3: SPD
4: Dino Charge
5: Time force or Ninja Storm
First: Uniform identity.
so should members of the same squad use:
The same squad name. Eg: Samurai-Red, Dino-Blue etc.
Same profile picture based on there squad theme.
Example:
All Samurai Rangers use the Samurai squad PFP.
All SPD Rangers use the SPD squad PFP.
This would create a stronger visual identity and make squads instantly recognizable during wars and contracts.
If you were to Join such Themed MU, are you comfortable about changing your in-game name and PFP? Opinions!
Second: Naming Scheme
Since there cannot realistically be multiple "Red Rangers" within the same MU, I am considering a squad-based naming system.
Examples:
Samurai-Red
Samurai-Blue
Dino-Red
Dino-Yellow
This would preserve Ranger identities while avoiding naming conflicts.
Would this naming scheme work, or do you have better suggestions?
Third: Alignment
Power Rangers traditionally fight evils.
Should this MU:
Option A – Hero Alignment
Only accept contracts against villainous or hostile targets and maintain a heroic reputation.
Option B – Neutral Mercenary Alignment
Operate as a professional mercenary organization that accepts contracts from any faction as long as terms are agreed upon.
Personally, I am leaning toward neutrality since this is ultimately a Mercenary Unit, but I would like community feedback.
Fourth: Eligibility Requirements
Because Power Rangers are generally portrayed as elite fighters, I am considering minimum level requirements.
Current proposal:
Normal Ranger: Level 30+
Red Ranger: Level 35+
The intention is to maintain combat effectiveness while still allowing new members to join once they reach a reasonable level.
Thoughts?
Operational Plan
To avoid constant war mode across all squads, I am considering a rotational deployment system.
Example:
Week 1: Samurai squad on active war duty
Week 2: SPD squad on active war duty
Week 3: Dino Charge squad on active war duty
Week 4: Jungle Fury squad on active war duty
The remaining squads stay in eco mode and focus on growth.
For large contracts, all squads can be mobilized simultaneously.
Leadership Structure
• Each Red Ranger serves as Squad Leader.
• Red Rangers collectively serve as the MU Commander
• Squad Leaders may negotiate and accept contracts for their squad after discussion with squad members.
• Major MU-wide decisions will involve all Red Rangers.
