Mechanics baseline — War Era 0.26.1
UKPP exists because Britain needs more than a party that appears only at election time. A serious political party should help people throughout the month: welcoming new players, creating opportunities, developing policy, preparing candidates, supporting national defence and holding government to account.
We want a United Kingdom that is prosperous, active and increasingly capable of standing on its own feet. Allies are valuable, but Britain should also bring real economic, military and diplomatic value to every alliance it joins. That strength begins with active citizens, productive companies, sensible organisation and a government that communicates.
UKPP has grown from a small party into a community of 38 members, established its own Discord and won representation in Congress. Growth alone, however, is not success. Our purpose is to turn those members into an informed and involved community that can contribute to the country and eventually provide a credible alternative government.
This platform has been established by the party leadership to give UKPP a clear direction. It is not intended to be untouchable. Members will be able to suggest improvements, challenge individual policies and help develop future versions through the party Discord, council and internal elections.
Our mission is to build a stronger United Kingdom through:
A productive, adaptable economy.
Practical support for new and returning players.
Defence that is properly funded and sustainable.
Active, accountable and accessible government.
Fair and transparent national contributions.
Pragmatic diplomacy that protects British interests.
Genuine opportunities for members to participate and lead.
We judge policies by whether they work. We will cooperate with people from any party when doing so benefits Britain, while remaining willing to offer an independent alternative when the country needs one.
This manifesto distinguishes between in-game mechanics and voluntary community organisation.
The game currently allows us to use systems such as employment and wages, company production, market orders, taxes and laws, donations, battle or Military Unit bounties, Military Unit and national orders, elections and diplomacy. Version 0.26.1 has also introduced regional movement using Oil and wooden chests found on the map.
Other work must be organised manually. Discord can be used to publish guidance, arrange voluntary production, record donations, run party activities or rewards, select candidates and coordinate players. These arrangements are based on communication and trust; they are not enforceable in-game contracts.
Features shown or discussed for later updates including the wider building system are not treated as existing mechanics or manifesto promises. We will reconsider them only if they reach the live game.
National strength begins with production. Companies create goods, employment, tax revenue and the resources needed for defence. Economic players are therefore not separate from the national effort: they are one of its foundations.
UKPP supports:
Regular reviews of deposits, strategic resources, specialisations, taxes, wages and market prices.
Helping citizens choose companies according to current evidence rather than outdated claims about one permanently “best” product.
Sustainable employment in which workers receive competitive wages while companies remain viable.
Voluntary coordination between business owners through Discord when particular products are needed. Owners would still produce and sell through the normal company and market systems.
Transparent use of the mechanics that already exist such as wages, market orders, donations and bounties rather than claiming that the game has a formal contract or state-procurement system.
Guidance for new business owners on automation, storage, inputs, company locations and realistic return on investment.
Maintaining a competitive tax system while ensuring the state can finance useful national activity.
We do not believe government should attempt to control every company or protect inefficient monopolies. Under the current mechanics, its realistic economic role is to provide reliable information, adjust available laws and taxes sensibly, identify shortages and ask willing players to coordinate through the market. Any additional wage support, donations or bounties would have to use existing systems and be explained openly.
The economic situation changes whenever territory, deposits, specialisations or market prices change. For that reason, UKPP will prefer regular economic reports and live calculations over rigid recommendations that quickly become obsolete.
Recruitment means very little if new citizens become confused, inactive or leave after their first few days. Britain must give newcomers a clear route from joining the game to becoming established members of the community.
UKPP supports:
A current, politically neutral UK beginner guide updated for version 0.26.1, including Oil-based movement and wooden map chests, while excluding unreleased dev-server features.
A short welcome message that directs new players to the guide, UK Discord and named contacts.
Help finding reliable work and understanding wages, skills, companies, markets and combat.
A voluntary liaison network, organised through Discord rather than a built-in game system, covering general guidance, economic questions, verification and military advice.
Follow-up contact after a newcomer joins, rather than assuming that one welcome message is enough.
Opportunities for new members to take on small, useful responsibilities and gradually become candidates, organisers or officials.
Help offered through UKPP must never depend on somebody joining the party or voting for it. Jobs, advice and newcomer assistance should strengthen Britain as a whole. We hope good work will persuade people to support us, but support must remain their choice.
Britain needs fighters, but it also needs the economy that allows those fighters to keep fighting. Food, ammunition, equipment, bounties and Military Units all require reliable production and funding.
UKPP supports:
Clear national and Military Unit orders during important battles.
Better guidance for players who want military or hybrid builds.
Peacetime preparation so supplies and funds exist before an emergency begins.
Voluntary coordination between government, active Military Units and willing business owners through the available chat, employment, market, donation and bounty systems.
Fair recognition of economic, logistical and financial contributions alongside direct damage.
A future feasibility study for a British Strategic Reserve: a small, organised group of active fighters supported through clearly stated voluntary Discord arrangements, suitable high-wage jobs where practical, and existing battle or Military Unit bounty mechanics.
War Era does not currently provide enforceable military-retainer contracts. The Strategic Reserve is therefore a longer-term organisational proposal, not a promise to create a new coded system or an expensive unit immediately. Participation would be voluntary. If national funds were used through existing mechanics, the amount, purpose and results should be reported, with safeguards against conflicts of interest.
We reject empty militarism. Reckless wars can exhaust the treasury, damage diplomacy and discourage new players. At the same time, permanent dependence on allies is not a defence policy. Our goal is to make Britain a more capable and reliable partner that can protect its interests and contribute meaningfully when allies need support.
Holding an office should involve more than having a title. Ministers and elected representatives should be present, communicate and complete the work attached to their role.
UKPP expects its representatives to:
Participate in Congress and explain important votes where practical.
Give regular updates on their work, including projects that are delayed or unsuccessful.
Respond to reasonable questions from citizens.
Consult people with relevant experience before making major economic, military or diplomatic decisions.
Separate public responsibilities from personal business and party interests.
Treat criticism as information to consider, not disloyalty to punish.
When UKPP members serve in government, they serve the whole United Kingdom. We will support sensible proposals from other parties and oppose harmful ones on their merits. Country must come before party advantage.
We also support political competition. Long periods under the same leadership can create complacency even when the people involved have served the country well. Challengers should offer constructive alternatives, and incumbents should earn renewed support through activity and results.
A country cannot defend itself, reward useful work or support new players without resources. However, any contribution system must be understandable, proportionate and trusted.
UKPP supports a model in which citizens can contribute according to their strengths:
Fighters can contribute damage in priority battles.
Economic players can take agreed jobs, employ citizens, coordinate production, use the market to supply needed products or donate through functions that exist in the live game.
Business owners can voluntarily fund wages or bounties, participate in Discord production plans, or place goods on the ordinary market. This is coordination, not a formal company-contract mechanic.
New and low-wealth players should be protected from burdens that prevent their own development.
We support exploring a voluntary, progressive National Prosperity Fund for citizens able to contribute more. This would not be a new automated tax or separate coded fund. It could operate only as a transparent, manually recorded programme using an existing donation route and with government agreement. Before launching it, we would need to state how suggested contributions are calculated, who is exempt, who controls the funds and which existing mechanics can actually be used to spend them.
Any national contribution programme should include:
Public totals for income and expenditure.
Clear purposes for every major payment made through the available game systems.
No public shaming of people who cannot or choose not to participate voluntarily.
Regular reviews to ensure the system produces more national activity rather than simply moving wealth around.
Appropriate safeguards when officials or their own companies could benefit from public spending.
Trust is an economic resource. People are more willing to contribute when they can see where their effort went and what it achieved.
Diplomacy should serve Britain’s long-term security and development, not personal grudges or short-lived appearances. Countries that were opponents in one conflict may become useful partners later, while close allies still deserve an honest assessment of what Britain contributes to the relationship.
UKPP supports:
Fulfilling commitments made to allies and communicating early when Britain cannot meet them.
Building Britain into a useful member of Forge through economic, diplomatic and military contribution.
Negotiated ceasefires when they give Britain valuable time to recruit, organise, rebuild funds and prepare its citizens.
Keeping diplomatic channels open with neighbouring countries, including recent opponents.
Evaluating territorial arrangements according to strategic, economic and diplomatic value rather than map colour alone.
Protecting confidential negotiations while explaining completed agreements as openly as circumstances permit.
Our aim is not isolation. Britain should have dependable allies, but it should not remain a permanent liability carried by stronger countries. We want to increase what the UK brings to the table so that alliances become partnerships of mutual benefit.
UKPP should not be controlled permanently by one small group. Leadership provides direction, but members need real routes into decision-making.
We support:
Open internal nominations for Congress and other party-backed roles whenever time permits.
Candidate selection based on activity, reliability, judgement and the realistic distribution of votes.
Proper leadership elections in which candidates can explain their plans.
A party council with defined responsibilities rather than ceremonial titles.
A Discord where members can discuss proposals, receive updates and volunteer for work.
Constructive disagreement without personal attacks or retaliation.
Periodic activity checks so responsibilities can move to people who are available to perform them.
Not every decision can wait for a full party vote, particularly during an election or battle. The leadership must sometimes act quickly. When that happens, we should explain the decision afterwards and remain open to correction.
Party members are not required to agree on every issue. Our shared commitment is to a prosperous, active and capable United Kingdom, and to resolving disagreements through evidence and discussion.
UKPP intends to adopt all three available ethics points as:
Fanatic Republican — selected for its substantial development-income bonus from core regions.
Industrialist — selected to strengthen the chosen ammunition or construction specialisation while preserving the country’s ability to benefit from deposits.
“Republican” is the name of an in-game economic ethic. It is not a declaration about the real-world monarchy or constitutional system.
These ethics match our present emphasis on productive core territory, industry and national development. They are not sacred or permanent: if an update materially changes the mechanics, the party should review them and explain any proposed change.
The following are the party’s practical priorities for the next stage of development:
Set the agreed party ethics once the required Paper is available.
Publish this manifesto and update the party description.
Expand and organise the UKPP Discord, including clear channels for announcements, policy, candidates and volunteering.
Establish a small party council with real jobs and clear expectations.
Revise and complete the UK beginner guide for live version 0.26.1, covering movement and wooden chests but not unreleased buildings or other dev-server concepts.
Publish short economic updates based on current deposits, specialisations, taxes and market conditions.
Support workable and transparent national contribution arrangements using only donation, work and reporting methods that presently exist.
Develop costed defence-readiness proposals based on current MU, wage, movement, Oil and bounty mechanics rather than invented contracts or unfunded promises.
Prepare active candidates early for future Congress and presidential elections.
Report what our elected members are doing between elections.
This programme will change as projects are completed and circumstances develop. The principles behind it should remain much more stable.
UKPP is not an opposition party that rejects every government proposal. We will cooperate when an idea benefits Britain and challenge it when we believe there is a better course.
UKPP is not a vehicle for exchanging jobs, wages or assistance for political loyalty. Employment and party support must remain separate choices.
UKPP is not a promise of constant war, instant national wealth or effortless reform. Serious progress requires sustained work, honest accounting and realistic priorities.
UKPP is not finished. This manifesto gives the party a foundation, not a final answer to every question.
UKPP welcomes economic, military and hybrid players, whether they are experienced citizens or completely new to the game. You do not need to want office to contribute. Writers, recruiters, employers, analysts, fighters, organisers and people willing to help newcomers all have a place.
