Radio Yerevan - Voice of Free Armenia

Published on June 28, 2026

Yerevan is broadcasting. Yerevan lives.

From the mountains of https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac8d4, where the former comrades of the ADAV fight for a sovereign and free Armenia from the underground, a new voice now rises. Loud. Clear. Uncensored.

https://app.warera.io/user/69a00dd2fd0fa6c54422f435, formerly known as Babu_Frik announces the founding of Radio Yerevan, the first independent broadcasting station of the free Republic of Armenia.

In a brief address, Frikjan stated:

"You can oppress a people. You can cut their borders, besiege their cities and burn their flags. But you cannot kill their voice. Radio Yerevan is that voice. For Armenia, for the truth and for all those around the world who still want to listen."

The station operates from an undisclosed location in the greater Yerevan area and is accessible to all citizens of Armenia as well as the international community. Alongside news, political commentary and reports from the underground struggle against the pressure exerted by foreign powers, Radio Yerevan will offer a broad range of formats.

The first format: People around the Globe

To mark the launch of broadcasting operations, Radio Yerevan presents its first regular format:

"People around the Globe" - stories from people who move the world and who get moved by the ever-changing world

In this interview format, Babgen travels (metaphorically speaking, as the Vice President remains underground for security reasons) to people across the globe. People who have taken unusual paths, made unexpected decisions, and whose lives tell stories that deserve to be heard!

If you want to be interviewed shoot me a DM!

The first interview of the series sees Babgen sit down with https://app.warera.io/user/69f75bd535ea7fe7f90a4630, a strong swiss woman who left her homeland to join the legendary Papal Swiss Guard in the Vatican, one of the oldest and most exclusive elite forces in the world, armed with halberds and a sense of duty.

Babgen: Zahara, welcome. Let's start at the very beginning. How did you even find your way to WarEra?

Zahara: A friend of mine https://app.warera.io/user/69b9b6302ebd7a671ed79c31 messaged me one day asking if I'd be up for a cool game. They were urgently looking for players. He managed to win me over quickly, because I enjoy games like this and I also like standing up for my country and its values.

Babgen: And why Switzerland specifically? Was that a deliberate choice?

Zahara: I'm Swiss and I live there. So for me it was a clear decision. No second thoughts.

Babgen: Simple as that. (smiles) How would you describe your time in Switzerland in the game?

Zahara: Eventful, to say the least. I witnessed the betrayal by https://app.warera.io/user/69a5e709c43cc51f30b4538d and first the Germans, now the Italians. It was a great time overall though, and the other real Swiss players are genuinely cool people.

Babgen: Speaking of unexpected paths, why did you decide to join the Swiss Guard in the Vatican?

Zahara: It was roleplay-driven, and I also just wanted to experience a different country for a while. I wanted to join the Swiss Guard the way a true, devout Swiss person would. Though I'll return home after my time in the Vatican - that's always been the plan.

Babgen: That sense of home pulling you back - I know it well, but for me it is gone, i found my peace. Now, a more current question: how are you experiencing the BEER offensive right now?

Zahara: The Vatican was caught up in some heavy fighting too, which made it a complicated situation for me personally. On one hand, I don't think it's entirely right for the Vatican to be so aggressive towards Italy. On the other hand, I can understand it - Italy had been suppressing them. So I'm somewhat torn. Ultimately though, I'm relatively neutral on the broader conflict. What matters to me right now is a free Switzerland and a free Vatican - not conquering new territory. My current mission is to protect the Pope, not to capture lands.

Babgen: A woman with a clear sense of her role. How do you view BEER as an alliance?

Zahara: Rather positively. Several of its members were or still are friends of Switzerland. So there's a natural goodwill there.

Babgen: Every player has one - a favourite nation and maybe a nation they can't quite stand. What are yours?

Zahara: My favourite nation is obviously my homeland. As for a nation I hate, I don't really have one. I'm certainly not thrilled with those who formerly oppressed us, but I wouldn't go as far as to hate them for it.

Babgen: A measured woman. Last question on the game side, who can you rely on most, in-game?

Zahara: Terra, without question. I know him personally, so that trust runs deeper than any alliance treaty.

Babgen: Now let's shift gears a little. Outside of WarEra - how do you spend your time?

Zahara: Sport, mostly. I train for triathlon and I love being out in the beautiful Swiss nature. Being outside clears the head.

Babgen: Triathlon - that requires serious discipline. You must be used to going the long haul. What about food, do you have a favourite?

Zahara: I don't really have a single favourite. I enjoy a wide variety of flavours and eat pretty much everything. But if I had to name something, it would be bacon omelettes.

Babgen: A woman of simple, honest tastes. (laughs) What about sweets?

Zahara: I'm not much of a sweets person, honestly. If anything, I'd go for pastries or a good cake rather than candy.

Babgen: And to drink?

Zahara: (without hesitation) Water.

Babgen: (laughs) Perfect. A soldier of the Pope, a triathlete, and a woman who drinks water. Zahara, you are either very disciplined or very Swiss - perhaps both. Thank you for being our very first guest on People around the Globe. Safe watch over the Holy See, and may your road back to Switzerland be a short one.

Zahara: Thank you, Babgen.
