Out of a sense of duty to the alliance and a principle of standing with allies in times of hardship, Libya declared war on the Portuguese-Spanish proxy of Burkina Faso and stood alongside its brothers in Benin, Nigeria, and South Africa to alleviate pressure on the alliance's southern front, which lay between Benin and Burkina Faso, and Nigeria and Burkina Faso. Libya decided to stand with them in the same trench, given the difficult times and crises they were currently experiencing, which were caused by the hostile alliance.
