Starting tomorrow, Ashura will begin, the day on which Allah parted the sea for Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) and drowned Pharaoh and his army. As Muslims, we fast on this day following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and we also fast the day before it as a distinction from the polytheists, as mentioned in the Prophetic tradition.
Today, I see some people comparing certain sides of this conflict to Moses (peace be upon him) and others to Pharaoh. I believe this comparison is inappropriate and diminishes the significance of a great event that Allah made one of His signs. The story of Moses (peace be upon him) is not merely a tool for stirring emotions or a comparison to be used in disputes within a game; it is the story of a noble prophet and carries profound religious meaning.
As Muslims, we are among those who believe in, honor, and respect Moses (peace be upon him). We know what he endured and sacrificed in fulfilling his mission. Therefore, as a Muslim who worships Allah alone, I do not accept seeing this religious matter used in the context of a game that does not reflect reality and does not deserve to have prophets and sacred religious events brought into it.
For this reason, I ask everyone to refrain from introducing religious figures, stories, and issues into discussions related to the game. Doing so creates unnecessary religious disagreements among players and goes against the mutual respect that should exist within the community. Continued behavior of this kind may lead many players to leave a game that allows prophets or their stories to be used in a disrespectful or inappropriate manner.
Thank you.
