I write this to no one specifically. I am currently in Ghent, normally during Gentse feesten but the people have been evacuated.
The fighting was rough to say the least. Whole buildings collapsed, bridges were torn down to stop the Germans advancing and the tunnels of Brussels city were imploded to cripple their efficiency while restoring our town for their purposes.
We fought hard. We fought well, despite our odds.
We had the last laugh, eventhough they killed many of my brothers and sisters. When they targeted Manneken Piss, a group, led by our President Buhdeuce ambushed them. The Germans stood no chance. Manneken Piss was rescued and taken away safely. I will not disclose its current position in case this message gets compromised.
After their ambush and rescue of the Piss Statue the president and his group were captured. As BAF was getting overwhelmed as well, I do not know what happened to them. I hope they are safe, our President is part of the Schtroumpfs after all, they are great warriors.
The Belgian Black Devils took heavy losses. Commander and minister of Defense Aslani's headquarters were destroyed, together with most of her companies. In a rage of a thousand suns she retaliated. Whole German Military Units were decimated by her alone. Even though I am the vessel of the Sun, her greatness has left a big impression on my fiery soul.
The Schtroumpfs are still being targeted by the German forces and their allies, I hope they all make it out alive, but there were specific troops armed to bring down any smurf they saw. I am honestly scared for them. They are our core.
I am proud. Proud of all my people fighting for our country, but also because of our allies.
France heard us.
And answered the call they did.
The French came in flying jets and rolling out their own tanks to meet the German forces in Brussels. We did not win, but we held the line for as long as we could together.
Our other allies have again shown their true colours. Lithuanians fought bravely beside us. I saw many of them die, I rescued as many myself. Blessing them as I carried them from the front lines to our medical batalion. They crippled many Germans.
The Dutch and Egyptians did the best they could, they are facing struggles of their own, as there has been more revolting in their own country and with the Dutch having been taken by the Germans already.
Only a small Dutch force made it to safety in Belgium. I hope we can keep them safe in Flanders, but as the capital has fallen I am doubting we can keep even our own people safe, let alone our refugees.
Dark times are upon us, whoever receives this in Ieper, I wish you luck. The remaining forces are retreating the country, I will soon follow. We have no more strength left for now. It is time to flee.
I hope I will see my brethren again. For now we part ways.
Signed
Commander Solis
