I said I would show that it is not hard to write your own stuff. This took me about 20 minutes. So let us get into it.
I read the Sea Dogs article that has been floating around, and I have to say, it is obvious AI generated nonsense.
Let us call it what it is. The writing is generic. The phrasing is hollow. It reads like someone typed a few angry prompts into ChatGPT and hit enter without bothering to make it sound like a real person wrote it. There is no personality, no genuine voice, no actual human behind the words. Just algorithm slop dressed up as pirate talk.
Now let us look at what the article actually says, because buried under all that fake pirate jargon, there are some objectively wrong points worth addressing.
First, the article claims England was lost because of weakness and softness. That is a nice narrative if you want to sound tough, but it ignores reality. Countries rise and fall for a dozen reasons. Military strength, diplomacy, activity, timing, and luck all play a part. Reducing it to "we were soft" is lazy and dishonest about the great citizens of the UK.
Second, the article complains that BEER allies were off defending Thailand instead of helping England. This is a fair frustration, but it is also the nature of alliances. Every country has its own priorities and pressures. You cannot expect everyone to drop everything for you the moment you need help. That is not how the game works. Ireland has been on the receiving end of that reality more times than I can count.
But let us look at the actual battle numbers, because they tell a very different story to what the Sea Dogs article claims.
In that battle, Portugal put up 107.93M damage. Sweden put up 96.14M. Germany put up 84.06M. Yemen put up 35.89M. Jamaica put up 27.6M. The United Kingdom themselves put up 26.6M. Spain put up 25.02M. Ireland put up 19.38M. Finland put up 18.2M. Canada put up 9.59M.
That is not nothing. That is a coalition of BEER and allies showing up and doing serious work. England had 26.6M damage. The Dutch and their allies had over 217M. Without BEER stepping in, England would have been stomped by one Dutch player with ease. The claim that BEER did nothing is just false.
Third, the article complains about Benelux occupation but offers nothing but empty talk about the people who actually helped his country. He sits there chatting shit about the very people who showed up to fight for England while he hides behind AI generated pirate rhetoric.
And then there is the comment about Ireland snatching Northern Ireland. Let me be very clear about this. If Ireland wanted Northern Ireland, we could take it with ease. Every single invasion we have taken it and we have returned it every single time. That is a fact. We could take it with our top five hitters, not even our entire country. The fact that we have not kept it should tell you something. We are not interested in holding Northern Ireland unwillingly without an agreement with the UK. We have returned it time and time again because we choose to. So pipe down with that nonsense.
And here is another thing. You are asking people to join your cause. You are asking them to follow you, to fight for you, to put their time and energy into your vision. But you could not even be arsed to write your own speech. You used AI to generate your grand declaration. That is delusional. That is honestly disrespectful to anyone who might consider joining. Why would anyone follow a leader who cannot even bother to write his own words? If you cannot put in the effort to type out a few paragraphs, why should anyone put in the effort to fight for you?
The rest of the article is just posturing. Forming a pirate group, fighting for the highest bidder, making the world fear your hulls. It sounds dramatic, but it is not a real plan. It is just angry words wrapped in a pirate theme because someone wanted to sound edgy.
If you are going to write a political article, write it yourself. Put your own name on it. Own your words. Do not hide behind AI and pretend you are some kind of revolutionary. It is embarrassing.
Ireland, BEER, and the UK citizens that have braincells will keep building. We will keep growing, keep defending ourselves, and keep working together. We do not need pirate cosplay to be strong.
