I have only been in WarEra for 2 days.
And already I started noticing something strange.
Again and again I saw claims from the Russian side:
“We are peaceful.”
“We are against real-life conflict.”
“Stop bringing politics into the game.”.
So naturally, I decided to investigate whether Lithuanians are truly overreacting… or whether something deeper is happening inside WarEra itself.
And honestly?
The deeper I looked, the more disturbing the contradictions became.
I dropped some of the evidence into the image attached to this article.
And the reality is:
there is far more in comments, chats and articles than I could even fit into one post.
Again and again I found:
Stalin symbolism
Putin speeches
historical accusations
deportations to Siberia being defended or reframed, despite being recognized by many as war crimes
constant attempts to dismiss everything as “just opinions” or “just roleplay”
One example that genuinely confused me was @CATVOROV
On one side:
posts about peace, separating reality from the game, and not supporting real-life conflict.
On the other:
likes and support under posts centered around Putin symbolism and propaganda-style aesthetics.
So as an observer:
what exactly is the real position here?
Because this topic is delicate and sensitive in real life.
Which is exactly why bringing the face of a real-world war criminal like Putin into WarEra and surrounding it with propaganda aesthetics goes far beyond “just roleplay.”
You cannot seriously claim neutrality while supporting content built around war criminals, political propaganda, and historical hostility.
And before somebody twists my words again:
No, I am NOT saying every Russian player is the same.
There ARE Russians here who genuinely seem against war and just want normal roleplay.
But there is also a loud side constantly pushing nationalist narratives while acting shocked when others react emotionally to it.
Then Lithuanians get accused of “bringing real life into the game.”
No.
The real-life politics were already brought into the game long ago.
Lithuanians are simply reacting to it.
Maybe WarEra is not creating these attitudes at all.
Maybe it is only exposing what people already carry inside themselves.
