KFC here. Forget mushrooms, forget shortest wars, this week's file is happening in our own backyard. Pakistan just closed its presidential election, and the numbers tell a story worth reading before the next one starts.
The Headline
So the presidential elections for the month of October just ended:
136 votes. 8 candidates. One clear winner.
@6a3a25b31cd8e80b69a4851c takes the presidency with 80 votes, 58.82%, running under Pakistan Patriot Union. His closest rival, @69e50a570a4ca07a2ef479a3 , running under Pakistan Liberation Front, finished with 46 votes, 33.82%. Everyone else combined couldn't crack 10% between them.
That's the scoreboard. Here's what's underneath it.
Two Parties, One Long Rivalry
PPU and PLF have been the two heavyweight parties in this race for the longest time, and this election was just the latest round between them. What's notable is Mujahid himself. This is only his second presidential run, not some long-standing dynasty, but he's already standing toe to toe with a rivalry older than his own campaign. That's either a very fast rise, or a very well timed one.

The Two-Horse Race
Eight names were on the ballot. Two of them mattered.
Between Mujahid and Rana, they pulled 126 of 136 total votes, over 92% of the entire electorate. The remaining six candidates, including Uzair's "Lesbian Protection Platoon" and jinnah_kapakistan's "Caliphate Of Indus" split just 10 votes between them. Two candidates didn't get a single vote.

So What Actually Happened Here?
This election tells a simple story: a rematch between two familiar names.
PPU has been the ruling party for as long as most of us can remember. Mujahid's second term keeps that run going, this time without a resignation or a snap election clearing the path, a straight win against a full field.
What that also tells you is the opposition hasn't disappeared, Rana & PLF still pulled over a third of the vote against an incumbent. People are still actively choosing the alternative. That's worth remembering next time this comes up.
What Happens Next
Presidential elections in WarEra run monthly, and Congress elections follow right behind them. The moment this result locked in, the countdown to the next fight already started. Given how cleanly this race split between two camps, don't be shocked if Congress ends up looking just as divided.
Mujahid's back in the seat. Rana isn't going anywhere. If this rivalry keeps up its pace, don't be surprised to see these same two names on the ballot again next cycle.
