17 candidates. 206 voters. One President. And enough political chaos to start another war.
India has a new President.
After 17 candidates, 206 votes, military résumés, campaign manifestos, meme parties, cats and at least one candidate campaigning for Goth Mommies in government, https://app.warera.io/user/69bb437eb2c35d74d8a191f3 has captured the presidency with 65 votes.
Behind him?
https://app.warera.io/user/69340b18cf766c128c348711 with 60.
That's a gap of exactly five votes.
Five.
At this point, Panda wasn't defeated.
He was personally inconvenienced by five citizens.

For months, Indian democracy had been operating on what we might politely call "minimum system requirements."
June: 90 votes
July: 87 votes
August: 77 votes
Late August: 92 votes
September:
What happened ??
Did someone finally discover the voting button ??
Did the government start paying voters ??
Did everyone suddenly discover politics ??
Did someone threaten to confiscate everyone's tanks ??
Nobody knows. But Indian democracy went from:
"I'll vote if I'm online."
to:
"MITRON, EVERYBODY TO THE BALLOT BOX."
And honestly, this might be the biggest story of the entire election.
Because for all the jokes about candidates, parties and political memes, 206 people voting means people actually cared who was going to run the country.
Which is mildly concerning, because now politicians have to actually deliver on their promises.
And with 17 candidates, India didn't exactly have a presidential election.
We had political Amazon Prime.
There was something for everyone.
Military veterans.
Reformers.
Meme parties.
Anime.
Cats.
And https://app.warera.io/user/6a81e8ad5914ac83cd08de9a
Oh, we'll get to https://app.warera.io/user/6a81e8ad5914ac83cd08de9a !!

https://app.warera.io/user/69bb437eb2c35d74d8a191f3 of the https://app.warera.io/party/69aed9e36dcb0df73bdfadca got 65 votes, or 31.6%.
His campaign focused on security, transparency, communication, citizen participation and federation expansion.
It was a fairly serious platform.
Which is impressive considering the general state of this election.
https://app.warera.io/user/69bb437eb2c35d74d8a191f3 now inherits a country coming out of a turbulent military period, a massive voter turnout and a production bonus sitting around 50%.
He also inherited something much more dangerous:
Good luck, Mr. President.

Let's be honest.
https://app.warera.io/user/69340b18cf766c128c348711 did not enter this election as some random guy who discovered the presidential button five minutes before voting closed.
The man came equipped with a résumé.
Previous government experience ? -✅
(President, Vice President, Home Minister, Congress experience)
Military operations ? -✅
Federation work ? -✅
Territorial reconquests ? -✅
Production bonus improvements ? -✅
A résumé long enough to qualify as a national archive ? - Absolutely ✅
Panda's pitch was basically:
"Why promise you'll do it when I've already done it?"
And honestly, it nearly worked.
60 votes. 29.1%.
Only five votes separated him from the presidency.
Which is beautifully fitting for a man named https://app.warera.io/user/69340b18cf766c128c348711
Somewhere in India, five people are currently being interrogated.
There is also a small poetic detail here.
His name is DisappointmentPanda.
He lost by five votes.
I have nothing further to add. The joke wrote itself.

https://app.warera.io/user/69d42a1d84a05d723060ed8a quietly walked away with 31 votes.
That's 15% of the country.
Not bad for a campaign whose central message was essentially:
"I'm active, I answer pings, and PLEASE SCROLL DOWN, I'M AT THE BOTTOM."
And somehow...
31 people agreed.
Fifteen percent of the electorate.
Third place.
A very respectable result.
His campaign was refreshingly honest about the fact that other candidates had more experience.
Instead, he pushed activity, communication, transparency and accessibility.
In other words, while the other candidates were discussing the future of the nation, Aditya was fighting India's most powerful geopolitical enemy:
THE SCROLL BAR.
Being at the bottom of a candidate list is no joke.
Every voter who stopped scrolling before reaching him was essentially a casualty of interface design.
And yet he still walked away with 31 votes. That's not a spoiler. That's a warning shot.
The https://app.warera.io/party/6a1e72d129ff36308eab5e6f is officially no longer just a meme. It's a third force.

Now for the election's biggest mathematical tragedy.
Future Foundation candidates collected a massive number of votes:
https://app.warera.io/user/69340b18cf766c128c348711 : 60 votes
https://app.warera.io/user/69990e4e66d24aa3df98e557: 7 votes
https://app.warera.io/user/693420c49291a4015d2ebbfe: 7 votes
https://app.warera.io/user/6a0847762b2880186c46ab20: 4 votes
https://app.warera.io/user/693433efbfa5ac7b804b8ab1: 2 votes
https://app.warera.io/user/6a81e8ad5914ac83cd08de9a: 1 vote
That's 81 votes across the listed https://app.warera.io/party/698d07a0335cf9b55ccbf4c1 candidates.
And that's where politics gets funny.
If every one of those votes had gone to Panda, he would have comfortably won.
But apparently Future Foundation decided:
"Why have one candidate when we can have seven?"
They brought an army to the ballot box.
Then split the ammunition.
https://app.warera.io/user/69bb437eb2c35d74d8a191f3 must have looked at the results and quietly whispered:
"Thank you for your service."

And then there was https://app.warera.io/user/6a81e8ad5914ac83cd08de9a
One vote. But what a vote.
While everyone else was discussing security, diplomacy, wars and the economy,
https://app.warera.io/user/6a81e8ad5914ac83cd08de9a arrived with perhaps the most ambitious social reform package in Indian history.
His manifesto proposed 50% reservation for baddies in government posts, divided into:
20% for Femboys
20% for Goth Mommies
10% for Waifu Pillows
He also demanded NSFW threads and announced the beginning of the "CHATHRON KA GOON" protest at Jantar Mantar.
His campaign argument ??
"Baddies ki kami se desh ke logo mar rahe hai."
Ladies and gentlemen, India has finally discovered the connection between public policy and down-bad economics.
He received one vote. Not enough to become President. But Enough to make the history books.

https://app.warera.io/party/6a04be1ebb60c56d5a1e1042 's https://app.warera.io/user/69a12faaf4a972e0fe001d71 secured 6 votes.
Six brave citizens looked at every possible candidate and decided:
"No. I trust the cat."
The Meowists now control 2.9% of the electorate.
The means of purr-duction are officially under observation.
Their manifesto remains classified.
Their policies remain unclear.
Their paws remain clean.
Meanwhile, https://app.warera.io/user/6937feae857dd12c3306c76e and https://app.warera.io/user/6a2fb6144a62c18c1554f951 finished with zero votes.
One brought a stock photo.
The other brought absolutely nothing.
India chose neither. Democracy has spoken.

For one presidency.
At this point it stopped being an election and became a recruitment drive.
https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac862 wasn't asking:
"Who should be President?"
It was asking:
"Which of these 17 people have you actually heard of?"
And somehow, despite having enough candidates to form a small cabinet, the top three still captured roughly 75.7% of all votes.
DeanBh and Panda alone took 60.7%.
So despite the circus, the election eventually narrowed itself down to a very clear three-way political hierarchy.
https://app.warera.io/user/69bb437eb2c35d74d8a191f3https://app.warera.io/user/69340b18cf766c128c348711https://app.warera.io/user/69d42a1d84a05d723060ed8a
Then everyone else.
And then https://app.warera.io/user/69a12faaf4a972e0fe001d71
Always remember https://app.warera.io/user/69a12faaf4a972e0fe001d71 !!

https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac862 enters August's aftermath in a very different position from where it started.
The country has fought wars, recovered lost territory, rebuilt its strength and pushed its production bonus from the depths to around 50%.
Now the battlefield has moved from the map to the ballot box.
Panda offered experience and a proven military record.
DeanBH offered governance, security, transparency and community involvement.
Aditya brought the third force.
And apparently https://app.warera.io/user/6a81e8ad5914ac83cd08de9a brought the Baddie Ministry.
But the biggest surprise wasn't who won.
It was 206 people actually showing up to decide it.
After months of elections that felt more like a side quest, September turned Indian politics into a full-blown event.
17 candidates, multiple parties, endorsements, manifestos, vote splitting and enough drama to keep Discord busy for days.
And now https://app.warera.io/user/69bb437eb2c35d74d8a191f3 has the chair.
For the next month, he gets to find out whether 65 votes were the beginning of a new era or just 65 people making a very confident gamble.
Because https://app.warera.io/user/69340b18cf766c128c348711 is still sitting at 60.
https://app.warera.io/user/69d42a1d84a05d723060ed8a has 31.
https://app.warera.io/party/698d07a0335cf9b55ccbf4c1 has enough candidates to form an opposition government.
The Meowists have entered the political arena.
https://app.warera.io/user/6a81e8ad5914ac83cd08de9a is probably already printing protest posters.
And somewhere, five voters are quietly wondering why everyone keeps mentioning them.
It wasn't a landslide.
It wasn't predictable.
It wasn't even particularly normal.
It was decided by five votes.
So congratulations, President https://app.warera.io/user/69bb437eb2c35d74d8a191f3
The throne is yours, the clock is ticking, and Indian citizens are watching.
You didn't win by a mile.
You didn't even win by a country mile.
Now let's see what you do with it.
