Today, Serbian forces marched through Montenegro and met the enemy in Dalmatia. What followed was a hard-fought battle that demanded determination, discipline and sacrifice from everyone involved.
The victory belongs first and foremost to our fighters, who stood firm when the outcome was still uncertain. It also belongs to our allies, whose support, coordination and commitment made this success possible. Battles are rarely won alone and Serbia does not forget those who stand beside her in critical times.
Moments like these bring to mind the words of Njegoš from The Mountain Wreath:
"Tvrd je orah voćka čudnovata. Ne slomi ga al' zube polomi!"
"A hard nut is a strange fruit; you won't crack it, but you'll break your teeth trying."
For generations, those words have reminded our people that resilience is not measured by how easily one triumphs, but by the ability to endure every attempt to bring them down.

To our opponents, thank you for a worthy fight. Dalmatia was not taken easily and that makes the achievement all the more meaningful.
To our allies, know that Serbia recognizes your contribution and values your friendship. Victories such as this are shared victories.
To the citizens of Serbia, take pride in what has been achieved today. Let this victory serve as a reminder of what unity, discipline, and perseverance can accomplish.
Tonight we celebrate, tomorrow, we continue forward.
