Shameless Croatian propaganda🇭🇷 [war edition]

As the biggest and most violent war in War Era history comes to an end, analysts from all over the world are already hard at work looking at what went wrong, what went right and how their country performed.

The incredibly talented and handsome analytics team here in Croatia (consisting of me) is here to tell you a few interesting facts about Croatia's role in this conflict.

Although we didn't enter the war as one of the world's major powers, we certainly left our mark by the end of it.

Political success

Croatia is still one of War Era's younger nations. Despite that, we showed some remarkable organization that will surely set the stage for even more complex projects. Here's what we achieved:

Swift decision making by the Congress:

Thanks to good organization on Discord, our Congress was able to finish most votes within minutes. Be it peace proposals, setting a sworn enemy, or quick financial aid to our allies, Croatia cemented itself as a country with some of the biggest nolifers in the game. Amongst many impressively fast decisions, the unannounced peace proposal by Slovenia that got accepted within a minute must be the most impressive one.

Mid-war elections:
Up until this war, Croatia only had a single political party - https://app.warera.io/party/698d0d6098950e2134cd43ad. However, when the tide of war changed an we needed to go on the offensive, the Croatian people came together to create the brand new https://app.warera.io/party/69d8e4726eccf5f15ab86e56 and quickly elect a new president. Considering how we didn't even know the proper mechanics of this process, this can serve as a testament to our adaptability and unity in tough situations.

Population growth:
For the first time ever, Croatia crossed the 200 player milestone. Our community kept growing and getting stronger every day. You could always find someone to talk to in-game, on Discord or on our subreddit.

Financial success

This war lasted for two weeks, with high-intensity battles occurring almost daily. It's difficult to keep your wallet in check during such a time, but we managed to achieve that and more.

Stability:
Perhaps not the flashiest thing to brag about, but still very important. From start to finish, Croatia always enough money in its bank account to respond to any emergency.

Aid to allies:
Just because we made sure not to run out of money, doesn't mean we didn't help our allies. During the war, Croatia sent over 12k to various allied countries. The money mostly came from donations by our own citizens, showing great commitment to the cause by both the government and the people.

Fighting corruption:
During the days of war, our government vowed to reduce stealing by up to 10%. This generous move meant that the country now had up to 11% of its income available at all times. Big day for Balkan politics!

Military success

Probably the thing you came here for. Despite not having many high level players, Croatia still put up some serious numbers during the war. Here are some of our greatest accomplishments:

Crossing 100m weekly Damage:

No words needed here. During the first week of fighting, we almost doubled our total damages. By today, more than half of our total damages were done during this war.

Some remarkable battles:

https://app.warera.io/battle/69d63d0da28848c2122fdd19 - despite ultimately losing, Croatia put up a valiant fight and dealt almost 20m damage across both rounds. This bitter defeat solidified the resolve of our people and laid the foundation for future victories.

Lead by https://app.warera.io/user/681d214d470bf2a142942642, Croatia dealt the most damage during the battle and helped Egypt protect the strategically important region.

https://app.warera.io/battle/69dc28c88ff2d6f5cfc9cb15 - this was another battle where we locked in for our allies. Hungary was on defensive ethics at the time, so we came in to see the round 3 through. In the process, we ended up as the country that dealt the most damage during the whole battle.

https://app.warera.io/battle/69dc8bdda9972b92f24fb28e - another battle where Croatia lead the line, this time in our own fight. Securing this region was extremely important, and the fact that we dealt the most damage proves that.

https://app.warera.io/battle/69db3aa4fd0b49813f1a505d - after the heartbreaking defeat in the first battle, it was time to take back what's ours. Possibly the best executed battle in Croatian War Era history, this was a decisive battle where Croatia showed just how important our core is to us.

Of course, we participated and had good results in many more battles, but these are just some of my personal favorites.

Fastest finger in the Wild Balkans:
When we were left with just our capital, many fights were staged to keep it safe from attacks. Following those fights, some of our players woke up at crazy hours just to launch attacks before our opponents could. This dedication allowed us to stay on the map even when the odds were stacked against us.

In conclusion

This war was an opportunity for Croatia to show how much we've grown and developed compared to a few months ago. We announced ourselves as an emerging European power and a valuable ally. I'm extremely proud of how we performed and very excited to see just how far we can get.

Despite all this, it's important to acknowledge that none of it would've been possible without constant support by our allies. They were always there when needed and fought relentlessly to achieve this victory together.

Also, respect to our opponents for the insane fight they put up. The last two weeks were pretty exhausting, but also a lot of fun. I hope there's no actual bad blood between us, just good competition.
