Sweden's Eternal War

The Long Night

Fellow Citizens of /country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac7f2, we are besieged in Skåne and on Gotland. The enemy horde grows stronger with each passing day, while many we once called allies have vanished when we needed them most.

For more than four months, no enemy flag has flown above Swedish soil. Tonight, that may change.

Our troops fight relentlessly against our foes without fear, knowing that honour shall forever be theirs. Yet even Lions may fall when surrounded by Hyenas, and I fear we may soon see enemy flags flying over Swedish towns and cities.

I will not insult you with false promises.

I cannot promise victory. I cannot promise prosperity. I cannot even promise survival. What I can promise is this: Sweden will not Kneel.

We may stand alone, abandoned by nations we long viewed as close friends and surrounded by enemies, but as long as one Swede remains willing to fight, the war is not lost.

There was a time when our Empire stood as a beacon admired across the world. Those days are gone. The banners have faded, the glory has dimmed, and our enemies believe our story is nearing its end.

They are wrong.

If we must fight with rifles, we shall fight with rifles. If we must fight with knives, we shall fight with knives. If we must fight hungry, poor, and abandoned, then that is how we shall fight.

Let our enemies have their numbers.

Let them have their riches.

Let them have their fleeting victories.

We have something they will never possess:

The will to endure.

This war may last for weeks. It may last for months. It may become the struggle that defines our people. Then so be it.

I will stand shoulder to shoulder with you on the front lines until my final day as your Prime Minister. And when that day comes, another Swede will take my place. And another after that, until our great nation is free and our enemies humbled.

For as long as even one Swedish soldier remains standing, Sweden remains unconquered!

För Sverige I Tiden!
