The 5 W's of War Builds

coriandoJuly 11, 2026guide

Every player eventually reaches a point where they ask:

"Should I stay on Eco Build, or is it time to go to war?"

This guide answers that question using the 5 W's: What, Why, Who, When, and Where.

A. What is a War Build?

A War Build is a skill point allocation that sacrifices Economic Efficiency in exchange for combat effectiveness.

Unlike an Eco Build, which focuses on maximizing production and profits, a War Build is designed to maximize your contribution on the battlefield.

A proper War Build offers:

  • Higher damage output

  • Greater survivability

  • Better access to battle loot

  • More efficient use of combat resources

Think of it this way:

The Eco Build earns the nation's wealth. The War Build protects it.

B. Why Go to War?

Because someone has to defend everything the economy has built.

During PeaceEra, an Eco Build is almost always the correct choice. But once war begins, economic output alone cannot stop an invading army.

Every successful hit contributes to victory.

Every victory strengthens your nation's position.

Every victory improves your nation's negotiating power.

Imposing your Military Strength wins diplomacy even before a single bullet is fired.

BIG NUMBER GOOD.

WarEra rewards players who deal meaningful damage.

Higher damage means:

  • Better battle contribution

  • Better loot opportunities

  • Stronger national defense

  • Greater strategic impact

War also creates a positive feedback loop:

Fight → Earn Loot → Upgrade Gear → Deal More Damage → Fight Better.

Whether you're defending your homeland, honoring an alliance, or fighting as a mercenary, your contribution matters.

C. Who Should Go War Build?

He Protec. He Attac.

Technically...

Anyone can.

Every player has the ability to reset their Skill Points and transition into a War Build.

However...

Not everyone should.

A War Build requires preparation.

You should be capable of dealing viable and sustainable damage without exhausting all of your resources for at least until your reset Cooldown is available.

Personally, meaningful damage starts at Level 20. Feel good damage starts at Level 25. This is short-sighted though as damage should be taken as a collective effort by the citizens.

Before switching, ask yourself:

  • Do I have enough equipment?

  • Do I have enough ammunition?

  • Can I afford a week of fighting?

  • Will my damage justify the investment?

A prepared soldier contributes far more than an unprepared one.

D. When Should You Switch?

Timing is everything.

Consider switching to a War Build when:

  • Your country's leadership announces mobilization.

  • A major war or military campaign begins.

  • Your capital or critical territories are threatened.

  • Allies request military assistance.

  • Winning the war becomes more valuable than maximizing economic output.

Most importantly:

Be prepared to stay in your War Build for at least one week.

Skill resets have a cooldown.

Make sure you've accumulated enough:

  • Equipment

  • Ammunition

  • Items

  • BTC

to sustain yourself throughout the cooldown period.

Remember:

Everyone may switch to a War Build.

Not everyone should switch out of one immediately.

Plan ahead.

E. Where Should You Go War Build?

If you're asking where...

The answer is simple.

Everywhere.

It's WarEra baby!

Final Thoughts

The strongest nations are not those with the richest economies.

Nor are they those with the biggest armies.

They are the citizens that coordinate when to produce and when to fight.

An Eco Build creates prosperity.

A War Build preserves it.

Understand both, and you'll become MVP of your country.

Good Luck and Have Fun!
