The Conundrum of Buying Damage in Big Battles.

ZoroogSeptember 5, 2026military

Big Battles cross 100 million damage for each side, these battles are unpredictable, chaotic, time consuming and honestly a chore to manage. But these battles are becoming increasingly common and has become one of the focal points of the game.

One such battle https://app.warera.io/battle/6a9a61c0c8d1baa0f04c31aa in this battle lots of contracts were given and accepted and damage was mainly done by mercs/allies MU giving these out one by one to specific MUs for the amount they ask at the rate they ask while also checking 10 different chats for buying more damage while also rejecting/accepting offers is something the government members handle at the pace of a snail.

In the middle of all this there is what I call the conundrum of buying damage.

It comes down to simple facts but often the most brutal ones.

The crux of this conundrum:

Why buy expensive dmg when I have cheap dmg?

This the most asked question a government member/citizen who are fighting in that war can ask.

No doubt a valid question and the answer is also simple, buy the cheap dmg before expensive ones. Because of course it saves money and in big wars money is often the limiting factor and not damage.

But then we ignore the other side of this conundrum that expensive damage is also damage.

That expensive damage can go to the other side(enemy) or maybe the enemy has prepared more and the expensive damage you ignored become the very factor which decides the battle.

Speaking from personal experience, the president (https://app.warera.io/user/682b328606bd7e8f32e0a1a9) Was offered expensive dmg but the offer was rejected due to certain reasons, later in the day we see them spamming contracts while losing the battle in hopes of some damage being bought in to save the battle, now this situation would not have arisen if the expensive dmg was bought earlier.

And hence the battle was lost.

No shade on them for rejecting, it is just a conundrum every government member faces.

The solution to this is also pretty simple, just hire the expensive dmg even if u don't need it right now cause maybe later in the battle you might need it.

Hope for the best prepare for the worst rings very true in this game of who will win today.

Hire now, chances are you won't regret it later.

And if you do, just don't hire and then regret harder.
