Hello fellow Danes!
(this article is a translation of the original Danish one that I just published mostly addressed to the Danes, because yes us Danes do want to connect with y'all and harvest all that sympathy a conquered people deserve. And some sweet tips won't hurt either)
Come closer and join us by the camp fire and listen to the old players who have already spent days (ahem) in this new game.
Patrick (Patr6104) and I are new to the game and have quickly been caught up in the combination of economy, diplomacy, war and lots of social activity. War Era is a bit of an idle game but the social aspect - which takes place on chat and in Discord - spice it up and makes it fun. There is no pay-to-win to be seen, and we hope it stays that way. We are learning a lot and the deeper we look the more substance we see, so it will be exciting to develop together with the game in the coming time and we hope you will join us.
The shadows fall behind the campfire and we have to face the realities. The Swedes have occupied us and are sitting on all Danish regions. The Faroe Islands were created as a new region and it didn't take 24 hours before the Swedes had conquered it from us, despite our strenuous attempts to defend this one region. There are many Swedes and Pripps are opened en masse while we Danes have to lower our gaze and cross the street when our overlords come walking. Of course, we can't live with that in the long run, so our goal is to win our freedom and proudly pour Green Tuborg into our glasses. Now the Swedes are our brother people, so in the long run you can easily imagine alliances and friendships, but right now it's about building our strength. We will do this by getting more Danes on board - the baby boom after Buiz's somewhat risky Reddit posts is a good start - and by strengthening our alliances with the many nations that will help us get our freedom. People like Halbarad, who is from Chile, put a lot of effort into getting us Danes started so we are not alone.
We hope you find your way around the game, just ask all the questions you may have and feel free to join our Discord where advice, tips and bad jokes are shared ad libitum.
On behalf of the Danish Congress (now Folketing),
Buiz
P.s. We Danes love the Swedes. No really.
P.p.s. Swedes please don't massacre your friendly neighbours (well, conquered underlings) when you read this
