Today, Indonesia commemorates Pancasila Day, a historic moment that traces back to 1 June 1945, when a visionary idea was presented before the BPUPKI (Investigating Committee for Preparatory Work for Independence).

On that day, Indonesia's future founding father, Soekarno, delivered a speech that would become one of the most important moments in the nation's history. In front of fellow leaders and representatives, he proposed a set of principles that could unite the diverse peoples, cultures, religions, and traditions of the archipelago.

That proposal would later become known as Pancasila.

More than just a political concept, Pancasila was a brilliant vision for a future nation—one built upon unity, humanity, democracy, social justice, and belief in God.

At a time when Indonesia had not yet declared independence, the question facing the nation's leaders was simple yet profound:

"What foundation should Indonesia stand upon?"

The answer offered on 1 June 1945 would help shape the identity of the Republic for generations to come.

Today, as Indonesia continues its journey through challenges and achievements, Pancasila remains a symbol of national unity and shared purpose.

From Sabang to Merauke, from past generations to future ones, the spirit of Pancasila continues to remind Indonesians that despite differences, they remain one nation.

As we celebrate this historic day, we remember not only the birth of an idea, but the birth of a vision that helped make Indonesia possible.

Pancasila Day. 1 June — The Day a Nation Found Its Foundation.

WE WILL RECLAIM OUR LAND SOON. As a spirit of our ideology burn!
