But the war ended in tragedy.
Daddy Sultan was killed by enemy hands, and with his death, the kingdom began to crumble.
Kemet survived.
And he refused to let his Sultan's death go unanswered.
قُتل السلطان على يد العدو، وبموته بدأت المملكة بالانهيار.
لكن كيميت صمد.
ولم يرضَ أن يمرّ مقتل سلطانه دون ردّ.
For years, he fought from battlefield to battlefield, driven by nothing but revenge. But war changed him. Every victory brought him further from the man he once was.
لسنوات، خاض معارك متفرقة، لا يحركه سوى الانتقام. لكن الحرب غيرته. فكل انتصار زاد من ابتعاده عن الرجل الذي كان عليه.
Eventually, revenge was no longer enough.
Kemet discovered an ancient forbidden ritual said to possess the power to call the dead back from beyond the grave. Desperate to restore the Sultan he had failed to protect, he performed the ritual.
Something answered.
But it was not the Sultan.
اكتشفت كيميت طقوسًا قديمة محظورة يُقال إنها تمتلك القدرة على استدعاء الموتى من العالم الآخر. وفي محاولة يائسة لإعادة السلطان الذي فشل في حمايته، قام بأداء هذه الطقوس.
The ritual consumed Kemet instead.

His body was transformed, his skin drained of its warmth, and whatever remained of the man he once was was buried beneath years of grief, rage and obsession.
